Paninis from heaven 11/8/2010

I have only had Pacci's deivered to my SS workplace, but the bruschetta, salads, and pizzas have all been fantastic. However it is the panini's that I crave, I've had 3 kinds and they are all amazing, and huge -- I eat half for lunch and reheat the other half for dinner! Now that I know what the tronchetti is, I will try that too, assuming they are cooking them a bit longer now per Tom's review! more

I almost cried for joy! 7/31/2010

I am Italian and a pizza-fanatic (I went to Naples in pilgrimage and ate in all the Neapolitan pizzerias around Italy I could find!). I must say the pizza I had at Pacci's was the closest I had to the Neapolitan original. I think 2 Amys, Sette, and other pizzerias in DC are doing a great job in these days, but when I had the first bite of Pacci's pizza I almost cried for joy: soft, elastic, and salty in a way that other pizza joints in the DC area still can't do. (I had "la Focaccia di Napoli" and a Margherita with friarielli, if you need suggestions.) The service was nice, although the ambiance has room for improvement. Still, I will definitely go back and suggest this place to my friends. more

Best Pizza in the area, hands down 7/25/2010

We're Silver Spring natives and big pizza fans. Pacci has completely delivered when it comes to quality ingredients and a great atmosphere. When my wife and I talk about moving sometimes, part of our discussion is how far we'd be from our favorite restaurant. The place is run by by a family that takes great pride in worrying more about a good dining experience than the bottom line. I highly recommend Pacci. Check it out. more

Finally - great pizza in Silver Spring 7/5/2010

We've been a few times to Pacci's and have always been very pleased with the quality of our pizzas. They've been perfectly cooked everytime and the pizza crust is impecable. Definitely a thousand times better than anything you'll get at Z Pizza, or it's ilk. The pizzas aren't cheap, but still worth every penny. Now if only they'd start a happy hour special! more

I ask all of the Italian posters here, have you been to DaMarco on Colesville for their pizza night? He serves a stellar Roman Pizza, which I prefer, less bread, more flavor. more

Finally some great pizza in Silver Spring 6/4/2010

I'm a friend of Spiro Gioldasis (the owner of Pacci's) and I know how much effort he put into getting Pacci's off the ground. It has all paid off with the best pizza I have had in a long time. The crust is outstanding and all the toppings are fresh. I would recommend Pacci's to anyone looking for a great pizza! more

I've been to the restaurant several times ... actually 4 to be sure. Each time the pizza was outstanding. Today for lunch I tried a new creation. It was a dessert pizza topped with decadent dark chocolate strawberries. It was absolutely perfect! I can't say enough good things about this place. The quality of ingredients, lightness of the crust create quite an enjoyable gourmet foodie experience. I hope they continue to push my pallet! more

Not bad 5/27/2010

The pizza I got was small and the dough in the middle was still raw. I dont know if it was opening jitters but my pizza tasted off. The olives on my pizza were overpowering the other ingredients and sadly I couldn't taste or enjoy anything else but raw dough and olives. more

Just What Silver Spring Needed 5/25/2010

Having been a long-term resident of Silver Spring, I always struggled with not having a good neighborhood pizza-joint. Yes, Mama Lucia's is OK, but aside from that what do you have? Nada, that's what. Pacci's, though still a work in progress, gets pizza right and offers an enjoyable environment in which to enjoy the pizza. The service can be spotty, but the pizza always is spot-on. Highly recommended. It is nice to see restaurants like 8407 and Pacci's opening in Silver Spring! more

If you've ever eaten pizza in Italy you will be in heaven here. Delicious pies, I liked the Diavola with spicy salami. And the Eggplant PArmesean app is tasty. beautiful inside, pretty hip more

Great addition to Georgia Ave 5/25/2010

I'm thrilled we're getting more hip new places in DTSS. Awesome date spot. The pizza - especially the sauce, is just unbelievable. I disagree with the critic's point about adding more salt. The pizza is just salty enough without being overwhelming, and I think more would be unhealthy and unnecessary. I would actually appreciate it if more restaurants didn't rely on salt to add flavor. So please, no more salt. Go to Pizza Hut if it's salt you want. Pacci's need to work on consistency though. I've been twice, and the presentation and quality differed noticeably between those two occasions. Aside from that, I'm really in love with their exposed brick decor and sleek red pendant lights. more

I am Italian and if I need to eat a real pizza in Silver Spring I go to Pacci, not only for the true Italian pizza but also their panni and beers selection. If you are going to pick it up check the menu at http://www.paccispizzeria.com/ and call they will be happy to feed you. BRAVI! more
