I have had 4 lifts put on different shoes and every time I've been extremely satisfied with the expert workmanship that Pablo's Shoe repair did for me. They give a senior discount and are very reasonable for the work they do. It's good to know there are still specialized shoe repair stores still in existence. more

It’s a no-frills place but PABLO KNOWS SHOES, PABLO KNOWS PURSES, and PABLO KNOWS LEATHER. It’s his craft, passed on from one generation to another. I originally came in there to have “emergency” non-slip soles put on the bottom of my new, fancy leather boots in the morning and he completed the task by the end of the day – it looked seamless and very professional. Then I asked him to clean my white leather Tod’s hobo purse, a designer find from eBay and Pablo has taken the time to clean it well and match the exact dye. He doesn’t like to take short-cuts because his family’s reputation is on the line. Now I have him working on a permanent insert for my favorite sandals and another that I can switch from shoe to shoe because doctors just discovered I have one leg shorter than the other from bad hip injuries. Pablo knew how painful it is for me and highly recommended that I do the “portable” insert since the hospital only provided me one set of inserts, as expensive as they are. Pablo’s prices are extremely reasonable and you can bargain with him the more you frequent his shop and the more business you bring in. Plus he gives honest answers to my “how do you take care of this” leather questions. He doesn’t have a receptionist so you just have to be patient with him handling the orders, receipts, and the craft. I don’t mind…I keep coming back because his prices are awesome and his work is quality! more

This is place is hit or miss. BEWARE, he is a salesman and will try to suck every penny out of you for things you dont even know hes charging you for. Im surprised he doesnt charge the customer for stepping in that pigsty of a business. The quality is ok, comes off as a friendly guy but has little class; really just interested in sucking the most money from you. I was told to pay an extra $10 when i picked up my shoes, which were two days late, because the original price i paid was ""an estimate."" Make sure to ask ""how much"" for EVERYTHING. more

I just want to say to anybody out there that if you ever need a shoe man Pablo is the best. I've been coming here fore about six months and Pablo himself helps me with any leather repair on lugage repairs back packs. Well put it this way he's the man for any simple stich on your leather jacket or special project on a particular item. I've known about him and I admited I feld in a silly way to keep him to myself, but its time to share and give to San Diego a nice precent. Finally I find a shoe repair shop. This place is great they do everything Pablo is very polite, great quality work, on time. Just fantastic.. When I came into the store with my two sandels that were completley destroyed by my 2 Pug dogs, I didnt think they would be repairable, but they were. Picked them up about a week later, and they looked better than how I expected them to look. Thank you for the time on fixing my sandels. I def will be coming back with more shoes. Last week i dropped off my coach bag at pablos shoe repair. I didnt even know they fixed bags until I saw the sign guy on the street. Well I had a little tear inside my bag and it needed a little cleaning. Picked up my bag yesturday... it didnt even look like my bag. It was brand new again. Im so excited. Despite the good things I heard about this place, the quality was so-so for the prices. More frustrating, however, is that the job was done late, and when I finally went to pick up my shoes, they couldn't even find them! I had to search around the store for them myself.
