This PetSmart is horrible. My dog got a bacterial ear infection in both ears as a result of their grooming salon cleaning her ears. Probably didn't wash their equipment or something. I have taken my dog to other PetSmart's in the country and had this exact same service done. She's never had a problem before. I went back to the grooming salon 3 days after the cleaning, (yesterday), to ask them about what they had used for the cleaning since my dog was scratching at her ears non-stop and making them bleed. The girl at the counter went in the back to consult the grooming salon manager Michelle, then came back and said Michelle advised that I take my dog to the vets at their Banfield animal hospital in the store just in case, and said they would pay for them to look at her ears as well as any related treatment costs. The next day, which was today, I took her in and told the receptionist what the groomer's told me. While I was waiting with my dog in the exam room, the store manager Carol came in with the receptionist and blatantly said with a real rude and offensive tone, ""Okay, can you tell me why you're telling them that I'm footing the bill for this visit??"" Apparently, the groomers didn't notify her about it and she thought I was scamming them. I wouldn't have minded being asked if she hadn't come in with such an accusing and offensive attitude. This woman is usually friendly with customers and had rang me out at the register just a couple of weeks prior, but this time, she was absolutely offensive and out of line. She was in an uproar and that the clinic was charging over $100 just for the visit itself, as though I have anything to do with that. She complained about the grooming salon not informing her about the issue and when I told her she should take that up with them, she said she wasn't going to get on the manager Michelle's case about it because she just had oral surgery and could barely talk. I guess that was her justification for why she was griping at me then? So unprofessional. After giving her a piece of my mind and some feedback about how she could have better handled the entire situation, she left without apologizing and gave the go-ahead to the clinic staff to treat my dog. How offensive. She went around the grooming salon and the vet clinic making me seem like some scammer or con artist lying to get free veterinary care.
