These Guys Are Amazing 8/30/2010

These guys are the definition of customer service. Had to find a shop that worked on (very) old Volvos while working out of town. Picked them based on their website and reviews but was completely impressed and satisfied with the way they handled our work. They even fixed some little things that weren't working on the dashboard without charging us. I thought I'd never say this because we love our local Volvo mechanic but if these guys were in our city, we'd switch in a heartbeat. more

Not a good shop for lovers of older Volvos 5/21/2010

We got several parts replaced by P and A Smith in our older Volvo wagon (740). After the first visit, the car broke down the very next day and had to be towed back to the shop because the work hadn't been done right. After a lot of other extensive and expensive repairs (the car was in the shop for a full week) the car broke down again and had to be towed again for the very same problem. The third time they did get it right though, but they won't be getting any more business from us. Cons: expensive, not straightforward, takes a long time more

I have taken 2 Volvo's I was looking at for purchase to P&A and they not only inspected the cars and gave me an honest evaluation but coached me on a price negotiation strategy. I will be taking all of my future Volvo work to these guys, no doubt. more

These guys are capable, honest, and charge reasonably. They've worked on my cars for years without problem. more
