The Greenbelt theater is an old movie theater from the heyday of movies. It has one screen and a lobby that, though a little rundown now, are reminiscent of the days when movies were all about the glamour. The moive theater is rather large and holds a good number of people, although I have yet to have gone to a showing here that has actually been sold out. What is great about this theater is that is only one of a few left that shows movies that are still out in theaters, usually a few weeks after release, for a discounted price. This means that if there is a movie that you sort of want to see but don't want to spend $10 for one ticket, wait it out and see if the Greenbelt is going to pick it up. They usually get the more independent fare, though. The theater itself is in pretty nice condition, considering that it is pretty old. In the lobby there are pictures of this theater as well as some others of the same era in this area that have since been torn down or taken out of commission. The crowd tends to be a little older, which is also a nice perk of watching movies here instead of the local megaplex.
