One thing I like about PF Changs is that it doesnt matter if you go to one here or in another state the food is very consistent and the service is always excellent. If you are looking for a nice atmosphere to just relax and get a bite to eat then go here. more

I like PF Changs anywhere so that's a given. The one on San Jacinto has exceptional service though and the food is terrific as always. Lettuce wraps for everyone! more

Enjoyed my very first visit to P.F. Changs (Thurs. nite Feb. 12, 2009). The Lemon Pepper Shrimp with the sauce and lemon peel was just the way I like it. The atmosphere was very urban, and uptown. I would recommend this resturant to other friends and relatives that enjoy this type of cuisine. The valet parking is a plus because there is a lot of traffic and limited parking in the area. I love the statues and the seating areas. The waiter and the manager were very eager to please. They worked hard at getting things satisfactory for us. Thanks for a very pleasurable evening. I do hope to come back in the very near future. Pros: The ambience and food were superb for me. more

\r The service was O.K. they weren't rude, they just seemed to be a bit understaffed that evening! Most of the food was average ""american"" chinese food if you get my drift. The duck unfortunately was terrible! Their chefs had NO IDEA what they were doing with the duck!! That mixing of the sauce thing is also quite irritating and I wish that they would stop. Pros: No MSG which means migrane free eating! Cons: not so great service! more

I love their kung pao shrimp, it's been great every single time i've been there. It's spicy and crunchy and delectable. The restaurant is a bit expensive, but the food is worth it. The dessert I did'nt like very much, we tried the chocolate cake, which was massive and nothing special....but I don't go there for dessert. I like the classy atmosphere. I do agree that it is a little more American than most Chinese restaraunts you go to. But then again, those restaraunts are on every corner of the city. The food is fresh and the ingredients are fresh. Very friendly service and it is good place to take anyone. Try it for yourself if you dont believe me. I eat here all the time. First, it's obviously very Americanized, which was what we expected going in. The vodka martini was very well made, and I enjoyed a plum wine they had; the Chendu (spelling?) spiced lamb was very tasty as were the spring rolls, and as someone mentioned before, the banana spring rolls were also very good. We went late at night so the service wasn't rushed, I'm betting there's a long wait and you might feel rushed if you went at a popular time. Really, it's expensive compared to most Asian restaurants I think but compared to many other upscale restaurants I thought it was well worth the money. The odd thing was having a football game on the TV screen on the wall as you are eating your food; again reminding you that you are not in Beijing if you didn't already know. The most annoying thing I suppose was paying a valet service $7 to park your car as I didn't seem to find adequate parking nearby. I'm pretty sure we'll be back as this was an enjoyable evening. I went in for lunch on a thursday. I generally will order something I'm familar with the first time I try a new restuarant so ordered the kung pow chicken. The rice is very good. The chicken came with zero sauce. You mix your sauce with the ingredients (mustard, soy, chili paste) they bring you. Most of us are used to getting a nice brown garlicy sauce in the dish so this was different. The sauce you mix at the table just isn't flavorfull enough and really does little to help the dish. At $11.50 I think it over priced for what you get. (chicken and rice, thats it) $2 iced tea and after tip (service was good) I spent $20. My waitress did bring an ice tea to go for me. \r \r I may try again but be a little more inquisitive as to what to expect in the dish I consider. Pros: nice atmosphere Cons: expensive more

i went there ONCE, the food there have too much msg and too salty. For those whose think that they have good food, all i can say is u guys havent try to REAL chinese food. But i Admit that it a classy place. more

PF Chang's is a stepping stone for those new to Chinese cuisine, and a tasty stepping stone if I may add. Orange Peel Beef combines unique flavors (imagine spicy oranges). For dessert, the Banana Spring Rolls combine six banana egg rolls with coconut pineapple icecream drizzled with caramel and vanilla sauces. Pros: Good for those new to Chinese food. Cons: Too Americanized for those used to authentic Chinese food. more

Having been there several times, mostly on Thursday and Friday during Happy Hour. I found there to, of course, be a little bit of a wait (30 minutes) which is standard in Austin for these days. The atmosphere is cool so this has never really bothered me, but if 30 minute waits aren't for you while drinking on something from the bar then you can stop reading now. Once seated the service was great and my waiter(ress) always seems to provide a good amount of recommendations on meals. (I recommend the lettuce wraps for appetizers by the way). General thoughts are; good spacing on the tables, good quality food at fair prices, and thanks to the dim lighting and lively atmosphere it made for a fun dinner. Not a bad way to start the weekend. more

I've always heard that PF Changs was a great restaurant but very overpriced. When we received a gift certificate we went but were very reluctant. The wait was a little longer than expected for a weeknight but was it ever worth it. I received the best service EVER of any restaurant I've ever been to. The food was great, very large portions the restaurant was very clean and the waitstaff worked as a team which is something rare in resturants these dyas. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE all together. Although at first glance this appears to be high-class and amazing, I was left with a sour taste in my mouth--and it wasn't the sweet-n-sour I had eaten either. The time I went, the waitstaff was snotty and conceited. Once I ordered (sweet-n-sour chicken), my waitress almost demanded that I ""choose something else"" because ""you can get S-n-S at *any* Chinese restaurant."" After I refused (I had been craving it all week long), she pouted and sniffed and replied, ""Well, next time think about broadening your horizons and stepping out of your comfort zone."" It took all I had not to get up and leave right then. I'm apprehensive to go back just because of that incident. The food was pretty good, a little overpriced but I guess you pay for the atmosphere. more
