Ozark Children's Academy

I worked there, and I recently found out that a couple of the teachers are recovering Meth addicts.. Teaching my child along with many others!! I came to find out that they put anywhere from 15-25 kids in one class.. Which is way to many in my opinion. And with the older kids, the teachers yell at them all day every day. They do not drug test any of their applicants either. I was very disappointed with this facility, I had high hopes for it when I started working there and when I started my son in Preschool there. more

Of all the daycares that I toured, this one had the biggest and newest/cleanest looking building. I loved the bright colors of the floor and all the paintings of children's book characters and other things on the walls. However, in the 9 month span my daughter attended, she had 5 (FIVE) different main teachers in her room, and probably the same number of helpers/secondary teachers. Two of those I loved, which was part of the reason I then stayed there for a few more months. I understand that those 2 leaving were out of the center's control, but I don't really know about the others. When you have a child under one who has separation anxiety/stranger anxiety phases, this is extremely difficult to leave your child, especially when YOU don't know that person any better than they do. I am now at a center where the workers have been there 4 and 10 years. I realized it doesn't have to be that way. I don't know if they are not paid enough or they are just not finding the right people, but I am done. more

Wonderful preschool/daycare! This facility thoroughly met my needs and certainly exceeded my expectations! Beautiful place, it is always decorative and clean. Neat and organized presentation as well as a great staff! They seem like they care, and that's highly importantly to me, especially when taking care of my child. I used to own a daycare many moons ago and I understand how hard it is. I also realize the liability involved. I have also noticed some reviews online that just don't make sense, mainly the negative ones. I encourage anyone and everyone to try not just this center, but any business despite the negative reviews. Many of the negative reviews out there are from former staff who are seeking some kind of revenge. Like I said, I used to own a preschool and it's a hard business. I recommend this school to anyone hands down. more

This daycare was located close to me. I wish I had had done further research. I took a tour and location was my sole purpose of sending my child here. My guilt for sending my child here has been more than I can handle. They cram so many children in one classroom(all of different ages) The owner cusses at teachers in front of kids. It is scary that the state passes inspection on this place. These children get one saltine cracker for a snack. I witnessed this twice and I was done. It's also scary that any one can open a daycare. The owner has stopped me in hall to gossip about other parents several times. I'm not interested in other parents personal life or how far behind they are on payments! more

I was very worried about where to send my children to. I was very impressed with this school, yes school. They aren't just a day care. My children have learned so much while just attending about 6 months. I thought they were smart to begin with, but it is amazing how much they have learned. I checked out every day care in the Ozark area (that would be in route to work) and I loved how calm and peaceful this school is. There are schools that all you hear is screaming when you approach or chaos when you enter the doors. OCA has some very amazing teachers and care givers. They take your advice to heart and if there was something I was concerned about the problem was resolved by the owner or director. I haven't experience any negative experiences by the owner, she is caring and attentive. Our teacher specifically has made our first preschool/daycare experience amazing. Everyone is different, but I am a very picky mother and I can not imagine sending my children any where else at this time. The rates are very competitive, especially for a good preschool. Not overpriced at all. We will be here for the rest of our preschool career. more
