Wadyal spends more time on phone than caring for pets. You can expect to wait 20 minutes longer if not more than you sceduled appointment. The staff is the only reason reason the animals are taken so well cared for. If you have a serious emergency go elsewhere. more

Thank you -- Oyster Bay Animal Hospital 2/6/2011

I am the founder of Sadie Hawkins Animal Rescue, and it is my privilege and my very good fortune to have met Dr. Wadyal and his caring and knowledgeable staff who have ALWAYS (for 6 years now) gone the extra mile to help neuter and spay, repair broken limbs -- and by that I mean performing intricate surgery and life saving procedures -- and care for the health of my pets and my rescues. Thank you to you and your staff, Dr. Wadyal. I know I take advantage of your 50% discount for treatment of rescues and I know you and your staff have gone many an extra-mile for my group. To the Oyster Bay Animal Hospital, please keep up the wonderful work you do -- we would be lost without all of you. more

Dr. Waydal 2/2/2011

This is Dr. Wadyal responding to the negative review written by the Colonel Potter Rescue representative. We examined this dog. Vaccinations and a Heart Worm test were performed. Since it is a Rescue Group, a 50% discount was given to the owner. She expected us to groom the dog at no cost, and we refused to groom for free. We are a very caring hospital and do a lot of work with many rescue groups. If you have any questions, please call Dr. Waydal at 516-624-7387. We have all the records for review. more

Thank You Dr Wadyal for almost 30 years of caring and compassionate service. I've brought many dogs and cats to you over the years and you've always given the best care to all of my "children". Thanks also to your wonderful staff (expecially Kathy, Erin and Rey). more

Great Vet 1/4/2011

Dr. Wadyal has cared for our Portuguese Water Dog for the last 16 years. As our veterinarian, he has provided preventive health care, maternity care, and now, geriatric care for our dog. To look at our dog Delilah, its hard to believe that she is so old. This is because she still looks and acts like a much younger dog. Although this may be a characteristic of the breed, it is also a reflection of the excellent care that she has received at the Oyster Bay Animal Hospital. Over the years we have found that Dr. Wadyal is not only a caring and compassionate professional, but also an excellent clinician. \r Dr. Wadyal and his assistant Ray are a winning team. more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND OBAH 10/29/2010

After 10 days of treatment at another Long Island Animal Hospital I was told there wasn't anything more that could be done for my pet, that he might not survive the night. It was suggested that I consider putting my pet down. I took my pet home and brought him to the Oyster Bay Animal Hospital. It is now 6 months later and my pet is doing very well thanks to the knowledgeable and caring doctors, Dr. Wadyal and Dr. Sood. I am grateful to Dr. Wadyal and Dr. Sood both very dedicated and compassionate professionals for saving my pet's life. The staff is very courteous, helpful, friendly and caring. I only have praise for the Oyster Bay Animal Hospital. I highly recommend this hospital. more

Dr. Wadyal is very caring 3/2/2010

My husband and I have nothing but praise for Oyster Bay Animal Hospital..Dr. Wadyal and his staff are very caring people..When our dog was sick and we were extremely worried, they made us feel that he was in good hands with people who not only knew what they were doing, but, cared about about him.. Also, the charges for his care were much, much lower than we expected..We would highly recommend Dr. Wadyal... more

Oyster Bay Animal Hospital is GREAT! 7/21/2009

Oyster Bay Animal Hospital 7/28/2008

The rescue I work for, Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network, has had a few experiences with this vet in the past few years. The experiences range from barely satisfactory to just downright terrible.\r \r The vet himself is quite caring as seemingly is the office staff. But the staff just can not get it together. Promised paperwork takes days and days to finally arrive when we are told they have it in hand and are standing right by the fax.\r \r Dogs are not routinely cleaned up, even if they are street rescue filthy and there for a week, saying there was not time. To let an old lady (14) with more medical problems than you can imagine, stay downright filthy for over a week is unacceptable.\r \r They do give a 50% rescue discount, but if they don't treat the animals well, even a 100% discount is not enough. more
