Oxford Place Apartments

My husband and I moved to the Oxford Place apartments end of March, '10. They gave us a sheet of paper to mark any problem places that needed fixing. I took up the whole front and back page and finally just wrote out on my own paper all the things that were not up to standard. This was not the room we were shown. The toilet seats were molded, floors in 2 bathrooms and the kitchen were coming up as they were not properly installed. Oven light/buzzer wasn't working, refrigerator was broken, burn marks on the balcony, screens in a few of the windows were scratched up, some windows were busted closed, dead flies in all of the windows, drain fly problem in the bathrooms, all towel hangers were broke off the wall, gunk on the cabinets. Some of the cabinets required you to yank them open because there was so much gunk on them.\r \r This is all stuff that should have been taken care of before we moved in. And it took them OVER 2 MONTHS for someone to come and only START fixing everything. 2 mont more

Oxford Apartment Complex is located between Kalamazoo and Breton off 44th Street. They offer an outdoor pool, volleyball courts, and tennis courts. Each morning you could help yourself to a free breakfast in the community/leasing building. They have a furnished apartment on the second floor of the leasing building which you can rent for your family members if they come from out of town. They offer 24 hour maintenance incase something breaks. The kitchen areas were TINY!! However, the rest of the apartment were moderate in size. They offer covered carports at an additional charge but have plenty of free parking. more
