This was my second trip to the museum and I will go again! I am a history and genealogy buff, but this place is a must see. Everything is so well displayed and categorized. The items and pictures attest to how much work has gone into the organization of this museum. The volunteers were so helpful. A very enjoyable trip. History 8/20/2005

What can you say about the Overton County Historical Museum? Well, it's actually pretty interesting for one thing. They converted the old jail house into the museum and I think they have done a great job of telling the "story" of Overton County. They have some nice displays and very infomative historical information about the early settlers and roles that native Overton countians have played in history. more
