One of Boise's Best Kept Entertainment Secrets.... The Overland Park Cinemas have been quitely working to improve the condition of their theatre. What was once a real dive has transformed into a very nice theatre. They just recently added new seats and carpet and the price is still affordable. At just $1.50 for kids (and even BSU students) it is a very cheap afternoon out! more

Cheap and perfect date night 8/18/2005

At Overland Park you can see a movie and get snacks for $3. Or you can see just the movie for $2. They also offer student discounts. A great date night. The movies are recent enough that you still want to see them. Cheap entertainment. What more can you ask for? more

Dirt Cheap Second-Run Movies 8/18/2005

If you're cheap (like me) and you don't mind watching movies a few weeks after they're out, then the Overland Park Reel Theater is a great place. The screen and sound won't thrill you, and your shoes might stick to the floor, but you really can't beat the price. It's enough to make you overlook the sometimes-surley teenager service too. A great place to unwind and enjoy a movie. more

Cheap, fun movies 8/13/2005

Over the past four or five years, a lot of movies have come out that I have been hesitant to fork out 9 bucks to see. Overland Park is the perfect solution for those movies. As a student, a movie for a buck is great. Especially a movie like The Hulk or Hellboy. I'm rather glad I didn't pay full price for those. The cinemas are never 100% clean, but that's forgiveable, and they have decent food prices too, so, for a cheap and fun date, Overland Park is a sure thing. more

Great Movies and cheap treats 7/31/2005

Overland Park is great because you can see a movie for $2.00 or for $3.00 you can see a movie and get $2.00 worth of food. The business is family owned and operated. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The theatre plays movies that have been out for a while but are still new enough. A great way to see a movie on a limited budget. more
