Outback Steakhouse the

Not happy at all with the food service in the kitchen.Waited forever for the appetizer.It came same time the food did.They were not busy and there wasn't any excuse for it.The dust was so thick on the ledge above us it was discussing.Hair in my granddaughters food and the bathroom was awful the same toilet was still out of order from the time before when I was there.Won't be going back! more

Outback being one of the best restaurants in Sumter isn't saying much given Sumter's track record of Restaurants. It opens late, the food is subpar, and the service is atrocious. It's, by far, the worst Outback I've seen. You may as well not tell them how you want your steak done because it's always one of two ways... So rare it may as well be not cooked at all (that way it would at least be quick) or a beef version of a hockey puck. I've sat for an entire meal with an empty glass and had several servers in an evening, since one can't manage to follow up. And even those that I've stopped and asked things of (a ketchup bottle that's not empty, or extra of something or other), have failed to remember in the 6 seconds it takes to go back to the kitchen. The only high note, was that my horrendous experience was met with a nearly full credit to my bill. more

The Outback Steakhouse is one of the best restaurants in Sumter. I’ve never dealt with a crowd waiting in line, and the servers have always been extremely friendly. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that it’s too bad it doesn’t open until 5pm; there have many days when I’ve had a hankering for a Bloomin’ Onion during lunchtime but had to wait until evening to satisfy my craving. Definitely eat here. more
