Bloomin onion 4/11/2006

Go to Outback Steakhouse either before the big dinner rush or on a weekday. This place gets busy fast. If you go when it is busy, your wait time can be up to 1.5 hours easily. Obviously people like their food. When I go, the Bloomin Onion is always ordered. I love them. If you aren't in the mood for a steak, there are other choices and the one I recommend is the Alice Springs Chicken. It is a chicken breast that is smothered with mushrooms, bacon and tons of cheese. It's really good. I've always gotten good service at Outback. Employees are friendly and the manager usually walks around during your meal from table to table to make sure your dining experience is up to par. more

Editorial
  • In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.
