Awful experience 12/20/2008

I've had great dining experience with Outback until tonight. The service was horrible and the food was unacceptably bad. My boyfriend and I ordered onion blooming and it was at least 1/3 burnt. The King crab legs and sirloin mix I had wasn't good because the sirloin is definitely under the usual standard quality. The worst part is, the prime rib my boyfriend ordered looks and tasted like ham (really hard and dry). When we asked our server bring it back (it was undercooked), it was brought back within a minute. The kitchen just put on some seasoning to cover it. Therefore we asked our server to bring it back again to make it right. The manager brought back another cut of prime rib and the steak is still dry and hard. So my boyfriend was questioning about why the steak is so hard and dry. The manager actually asked him if he ever had prime rib before. We were just mortified by her question and couldn't believe how bad this dining experience was compared to our past experiences. Tonight almost ruined all our great experiences with Outback and it also changed our old impression of Outback - good quality food at reasonable price with great service. more

Reliable and filling 4/5/2006

Outback Steakhouse is what it is: a chain steakhouse, but one that consistently delivers what it promises. Steaks are the main attraction. They are tender and cooked to order. The Bloomin' Onion is great if you like fried foods. I hate to think how many calories are in the onion, never mind the dipping sauce (which by the way, is irresistable). Naturally, you can get a good (and large) baked potato with the usual fattening toppings. Children are graciously accommodated. Outback Steakhouse will not give you an exceedingly memorable dining experience, but you can count on it for good quality steaks. The burgers aren't bad, either. more

Outback Steakhouse 3/17/2006

We had Outback Steakhouse tonight for dinner. We got the curbside to go for the first time. It actually wasn't too bad. I liked it cause we didn't have to wait for a waiter to come around and get our drinks, then come back for our order, plus my 10 month old can scream all he wants to at home. The only thing that I don't really get is that I am supposed to tip them for bringing it out to my car. Now don't get me wrong, I am not a cheapskate. I am however in dental school with a 10 month old, and a pregnant wife who doesn't want to cook. So being able to just go pick up the food and not have to pay someone several dollars to walk a couple feet to the window of my car would be nice. Heck, since I will be eating a 1500 calorie dinner, I think it wouldn't hurt for me to get out of the car and walk a couple of steps. But the food was great! more
