Wait time? I never have to wait and am seated before people standing around with pagers simply because I call ahead. I have Outback programmed in my phone in case I am out and decide to go there.\r
Everyone knows lots of people frequent this restaurant. They have a call-ahead service and they will put you on their list before you get there. The food is great and the service is always awesome. As one who tips generously before dinner, it would be. Some have said there are better steaks elsewhere, but didn't mention where that is. Outback has the best I have ever had and compares to Ruth Chris at a fraction of the price. Hey, when your steak is perfect every time, you can?t get much better than that.\r

I typically get the ribeye (called a Scotch fillet in Australia) and one has to know that they cook their steaks one temperature under what you order. I dislike overcooked food and Outback is always consistent, unlike other places I have been. I would never go anywhere else for a steak. The salads are quite generous in size and when I order it without croutons and extra onions; that is exactly what I get.\r

The Outback style prime rib is excellent. I don?t believe it is on the current menu, but they will fix it for you if you ask. They take the prime rib and flash it on the grill for a minute, giving it a great flavor. The lamb is good too and can be served as chops if you request it. It has a distinctive rosemary flavor. Don?t forget to order the coconut shrimp appetizer; it is awesome! \r

I enjoy the atmosphere and the decorations are fun to look at. I have always received prompt and attentive service. My glass has never been empty and I have never lacked anything in the years I have been going here. Without exception, anywhere else I have ordered a steak, it was overcooked. It must be a Florida thing as many indigenous people in the south order medium well; I hear it all the time. Outback just does it better than any other. I think I might go there tonight!\r

UPDATE: 4/10/11\r

Sorry to say, but the quality of the ribeye has gone way down. On my recent visit I ordered it and so did my buddy. Both looked like very thin cheap cuts, lots of fat and were both overcooked. They looked like what you would expect to be served at Denny's for half the price. I will say this is not typical of my history with Outback. I don't know if it was just this one time, or if they have decided to buy cheap steaks. The ribeyes I used to get were lean, generous and cooked just right. \r
\r
They do not offer salads with entrees anymore, which was a surprise. I think they are $2.99 extra. I usually sit in the bar area because of the TV and you don't have to wait if there is a table open. Service was pleasant, but took forever to get bread after asking for it a few times. It didn't come out untill the entrees were served. \r

Given the overall experience this time, it is unlikely I will go back. That's a shame because it was my favorite restaurant. I think I'll try Longhorn next time and will write a review when I do.
Pros: Excellent Food, Service, Price and Atmosphere - Call Ahead for no Waiting in Line
Cons: NONE!
