The LA times ran an article about soba noodles and highlighted how great this authentic noodle house is. The owner makes the noodles fresh every morning. Don't expect a lot of variety, but the atmosphere is great--cozy, with jazz playing in the background. It makes this a great find for Angelenos.
I had the seiro soba noodles (made from a special white buckwheat) with shrimp and scallop tempura. I ordered an extra large (supersized meal) which filled my belly perfectly. We also ordered an appetizer of dark seaweed with ponzu sauce which was very tasty.
Everything seemed very fresh in this little restaurant. If you're looking for a change, check this place out.
