Rude, Rude, and Rude!! Had an emergency and decided to go to Dr. Oswick because he was open on Sunday. I was told on the phone that it would cost $42 and maybe more depending....

Anthony Oswick got rid of the worst pain. Don't wait until you feel pain or get an infection. Its not worth the day to day pain. My kids said they were glad they went too... Thanks Tony. more

Tony, Thank you, you seemed to know what I needed to look my best. He took me in for an Xray & Exam while explaining to me all the details about keeping my teeth clean and what the Xray revealed. He gave me a full mouth cleaning, bleaching & NiteWhite. My teeth were whiter than ever. and, it was only half of what I was expecting to pay. I would recommend Dr.Oswick to anyone! Thanks very much. Emergency Dental Care 9/3/2012

Tony has been my family and friends dentist for over years in Windermere. He has always taken care of our cleanings, pulls, fillings, braces, veneers and other services with no problems, ever... He has always treated us farily and has always been there for our emergencies with our kids and grandkids. I have always seen their office as the most friendly, and talented out there.\r \r I would suggest calling their office or visiting them, as I would suggest for any Family Dentistry. Some of their customers Testimonials are on their website. Thanks for being our Dentist. more

A Master Craftsman 4/21/2012

My mother, who was 80 years old at the time, called and said she was in very serious pain. It had been a considerable amount of time since she had last seen a dentist for routine dental care. She is a heart patient who suffers the fate of many patients like her, that of delayed or neglected dental attention. Because of their medications that cause them to be bleeders (sometimes profuse), most dentists will not touch these patients. At most, the patients can get their teeth pulled. \r So here I am with my mother in substantial pain-- I was new to Orlando, as was my mother and father. I called an emergency dental referral service, and sure enough, a dentist called me and said, ""well, its 6:30. If you can come now, I'll take a look at her"". He was brusque on the phone, but I felt I needed to get her to see him. We arrived to the building, all but his office locked up for the night, and we rolled (my mother is in a wheel chair) into his office. \r \r Dr. Oswick looked at her and saw the condition of her mouth. All of us (including her) knew she needed a tremendous amount of care. Once he found out she was a heart patient, he wouldn't do anything for her that night, but offered to see her in 3 days after she had been off her blood thinners for that time, and after he had talked to her heart doctor and family doctor and received permission and advice for treating her. We filled all the info that was needed for her past medical care and indeed returned in 3 days. Thus started a 10 month odyssey to pull the rotten teeth, to fill remaining teeth, and then to give her dentures. We have finished the process, and today my mother got her new teeth. Beautiful work.\r \r Dr. Oswick is a skilled craftsman. As I am an engineer, I will relate him to my world -- he is a classic lab rat. In the technical world, a lab rat is a person who has extraordinary skills in their craft -- they can go into a lab and diagnose a problem and fix the problem -- any problem. At first , they may appear rude, shy or unfriendly. But get to know them, and they very friendly. \r \r But let me say this -- he is a master at working on your mouth. As many health problems that plagued my mother, he could have done what all the other dentists that she tried to see over the last 10 years. He could have punted and sent her on her way. He didn't. He saw someone in great need and proceeded to work his way through all her problems. My mother never suffered one round of infection from any of the dental work. Not once. That's incredible. She never suffered from pain from any of the dental work. Not once. That's incredible. And I will say, that in his own way, he was extraordinarily kind to her. And there was plenty of opportunity for him to give up --many a time he had to stop in order to get her bleeding under control.\r \r I believe his desire to see previous records and speak to my mothers doctors was an effort on his part to know his risks and know what kinds of problems he might encounter. Its better to plan for success but prepare for problems. Again, this is a typical engineering approach to a problem. This is how a skilled craftsman approaches problems.\r \r So if you have health issues, and you need dental work performed by a master craftsman, I would recommend Dr. Oswick. But don't look at him to be your best friend or to provide warm and fuzzies. I have rarely seen the politician type of engineer who really took the time to learn his craft. The skilled craftsman is normally a shy and introverted technician--excellent with things, not people. I suspect its the same with Dentist.\r I go to a dentist to have the best care, at an affordable price. If this is what you are looking for, go see Dr. Oswick. \r \r Debbie V.\r more

I'm grateful for his work 4/11/2012

I went into Mr Oswiks office with an appointment for teeth cleaning and a tooth pull last week. My tooth was in pain for years and had regular swelling. I had to wait less than a minute before going in for my exam and x-ray. Along the way he explained to me all the details about how to care for my teeth. He did the cleaning and tooth pull, everything in less than an hour. With the prescription for antibiotics by the second day, I had no pain. I'm grateful for his work. I'll come back again. more

Thanks a Million 10/20/2011

AnthonyFOswick, At the age of 45, I wanted to get back into backgrounds for movies and commercials that requires perfect teeth. After calling and visiting many of the the dentists in Windermere and the Doctor Phillips area, DrOswick's office was nice, clean and had the most advanced equipment. I asked for a full consultation of the work I needed on my teeth, since I've been in the movies and wanted to make my smile look 20 years younger. He seemed to know what I needed to look my best. He took me in for an Xray and Exam while explaining to me all the details about keeping my teeth clean and what the Xray revealed. He then gave me a full mouth scale to my root with no pain during or afterwards. Before taking the next steps, he recommended a full mouth bleaching and NiteWhite. My teeth are now whiter than ever. This week I went in for my Esthetic Inlay and Invisilign. My teeth are now perfect and I can finally smile again. Thanks a Million. Stacey B more

After Oral Surgery: Post-Operative Care: 10/8/2011

After Oral Surgery: Post-Operative CareOn day 1: DO NOT under any circumstances smoke, rinse your mouth vigorously, or drink forcefully through a straw for 48 hours. These activities will disturb the forming blood clot and can lead to a painful condition called dry socket. DO NOT RINSE MOUTH TODAY: You may drink liquids as usual, but do not rinse and spit as this may dislodge blood clot in the healing site. BLEEDING: Following tooth removal some bleeding is to be expected. Keep biting pressure on gauze for approximately 1-2 hours. Repeat if necessary, replacing gauze every 30-45 minutes. If heavy bleeding persists, call our Orlando dentist office. On day 2: Following extraction, you may gently rinse your mouth with warm salt water (1/2 tsp. salt in 1 glass of warm water). Rinse your mouth ever 3 to 4 hours (especially after meals). Continue rinses for several days. You may brush and floss your teeth as normal, being careful not to brush into extraction site. Proper oral hygiene will speed the healing process and diminish sensitivity. For the first few days following oral surgery, use light, gentle pressure when brushing and flossing around the surgical site. On day 3: Following extraction, you may pick out any food from extraction site, gently, with a toothpick. Continue to do this until the area is completely healed, usually about 3-4 weeks. SWELLING: After an extraction, you may feel some discomfort or swelling. A plastic bag of ice wrapped in a towel should be applied to the operated area-30 minutes on and 30 minutes off-for 4 to 5 hours. MEDICATION: For mild to average pain, use any non-aspirin type of pain medication you like. If your surgery was extensive, a prescribed medication for pain and or antibiotic for infection should be taken as directed. FOOD: Drink plenty of fluids and maintain a soft, light diet for the first couple days following your surgery. Do not suck on extraction site and avoid strenuous activities for 24 hours following your surgery. BONY EDGES: Small, sharp bone fragments may work up through the gums during healing. These are not roots; if they are annoying please return to the office for their simple removal. Remember that your mouth is in a healing phase and will need time to return to normal. If you fe any problems or have any concerns, please contact our Orlando dentist office. more

Worst Dentist 8/16/2011

Rude, Rude, and Rude!! Had an emergency and decided to go to Dr. Oswick because he was open on Sunday. I was told on the phone that it would cost $42 and maybe more depending. I had to pay $199 before Dr. Oswick even saw me. I wasn't even able to get a invoice to see why I was being charged so much. He took x-rays when there was no need ( I had a dry socket after a wisdom tooth extraction and needed the socket packed.) He misdiagnosed me and said the socket was infected which caused me even more pain. He was unnecessarily rough with with my mouth and paid more attention to my other teeth than looking at the socket. He was mean and criticized my teeth telling me that I was going to get oral cancer if I didn't get work done by him. When I went to my own dentist on Monday I was told that I had no infection but a bad dry socket where my jaw bone was exposed, causing me horrible pain. If Dr. Oswick had bothered to be an actual dentist and actually LOOKED at the socket (instead of selling me his services) I would have been pain free. Do not go to this man. You will get ripped off and humiliated in every possible way. Please use extreme caution. more
