O'Steen's, a small and ordinary-looking building just across the Bridge of Lions from the still-charming city of St. Augustine, has one distinction above all: here is unquestionably the most perfect plate of fried shrimp known to man. Descriptions of these butterflied & golden-fried beauties are superfluous. Just try them....
O'Steen's is otherwise rather ordinary, though everything on the menu is good value for the low prices (especially at lunch)....
But the fried shrimp are one of the First Coast's culinary masterpieces...
Pros: Fried Shrimp, Inexpensive menu, Small-town charm
Cons: Long waits/peak hrs, No reservations, Ordinary side dishes
