These people are the rudist, egotistical profain, ludicrous business i have ever dealt with in all my 13 years of buying. I have posted a video on youtube. I have a close friend who spends every summer in Warrensburg. She and another friend who had been there always talked about Oscars, so it was one of the first places I visited when I first went to the Adirondacks 10 years ago. I was not disappointed. My only disappointment is that I don't want to eat too much meat, so I can't buy too much at a time. The prices are not cheap, but not outrageous either. When you are in the Adirondacks you have to make a stop at Oscar's smokehouse! The meats are fantastic, and the prices are good. He has cold cuts, steaks, jerky, bacon, sausage, cheeses and more. You can't miss where it is with the pig out front. The store is totally Adirondack. more

I started shopping here when I was vacationing in the area - I should say my parents shopped here when I was a little kid on vacations. When I moved to the area I followed suit. My family and friends can not wait to get the bacon and cheeses here amoung other products whenever they are in the area. I have to say they have the best bacon in the world. Their sausage is not too shabby either. My favorite cheese is their garlic cheddar. They have so many products to choose from and they do mail order. They have even been featured on the cooking channel. If you want to try something truley awesome you have to try the bacon - again the bacon.... It is worth taking the ride up there just to get the bacon. When I cook the bacon the smell in the house is so amazing. I think you can also buy their bacon now in a couple of the local supermarkets here. I buy the cheese and its gone in a day - the family goes crazy. We serve the bacon and the sausage every christmas morning as a tradition besides other times of the year. Try it - trust me you will love it. more
