If you are going to charge top dollar for food, then the food should be top dollar food. I was not impressed with Oscars. The appetizer, Oysters...Fried, spiced with hot sauce, Pickled, relished, sauced again, with more fried stuff on top of a tortilla chip. Inedible. How about FRESH fried oysters? Now there's a concept! The paper on top of the white table cloths made me want a crayon. The angel hair pasta and frozen shrimp were good, but not worth the price they are charging. I would have preferred fresh rolls, not a loaf of whte bread. The concept needs changed and the prices need lowered. I won't go back. This is hands-down one of the best restaurants in Columbus. I have lived in many major citiesm and had not been very impressed with many eating establishments in the area- unitl I came here. The food was outstanding, as was the sevice. more

Mmmm....Wine. 2/20/2004

I've been a huge fan of Oscar's for quite some time. The food is amazing and the winelist/pricing is even better. Great outdoor dining in the summer! Be sure to ask for table 48... best seat in the house. Pros: Amazing food, Wine/state minimum, Friendly GM Cons: , Cramped seating more

Quaint, off-the-path place with food damn near as good as ANY big city place. A seriously well kept secret. Order the Filet with Port-Wine and Blue cheese topping, or the Iceburg lettuce with real Roquefort dressing.
