My primary Doctor referred me to CORA for physical therapy but instead I chose to work with Bruce Wilk, at Orthopedic Rehab Specialists, in the building adjoing CORA at 8720 N. Kendall Drive. My experience at CORA was not a pleasant one. I've had better experiences in a public bathroom where a bathroom attendant gives you soap, paper towels, and tells you to have a good day. On Nov. 24 2008, as soon as my primary Doctor referred me to physical therapy, I wasted no time and went to CORA to scheduled my first appiontment. I was told nothing was available until Dec. 9 at 10 am. So I scheduled my appointment for that date and filled out all their papers, questionnaires, etc., had them copy my license and my insurance card. When I arrived at CORA a few minutes before 10 am on Dec. 9, I wasted 15 minutes while they searched for my file, and then found out that they had misplaced it. Then it turned out that their computer system was down and told me that my appointment was not on Dec. 9 but on Dec. 2. They marked me as a ""no show"" but never did anyone from CORA contact me. Instead of finding a solution, the same receptionist that scheduled me, was wrongly insisting that my appointment was last week. I left CORA, with the firm intention of not returning. They were unprofessional, disorganized, and their facility was below standards. On the same day, I went to Orthopedic Rehab Specialists where a friend told me that he had a plasant experience there. I went to schedule my first appiontment with an understanding that they could treat me and schedule me for another day. Bruce Wilk took me right in, without an appointment, and with a center at least 3 to 4 times as busy as CORA had been; and literly within 5 minutes I was on a table being worked by Bruce. We worked from 10:30 to noon. I took care of all the paper work after my appointment. The staff there where very helpful and did not misplace my file on my next appointment. I'll be continuing to work with Bruce and ORS.
