I moved to Orlando in 2006 and wish I had found Orlando Import Auto Specialists when I first moved down. I've had a hard time finding an honest mechanic in town. I almost gave up and did a search and came upon citysearch and read the excellent reviews on Joe and Dwayne's operation. So I took my 1990 Accord in to be diagnosed. From the moment I met Joe to when I left their shop I kept on checking off all the good things everyone has said on this site and they were all TRUE! I have finally found a shop I can trust and they haven't even worked on my car yet. Well, Joe diagnosed my car in minutes. He clearly stated my options and told me everything I needed to think about. I walked away with a full knowledge of the problem. He even did a free transmission adjust so my shifting was to spec. From now on I'm taking my vehicles to OIAS. Do not let the location fool you, this is where you want to take your car! I went in to their business because of transmission problems. Joe quickly diagnosed the problem and offered his professional advice. I needed a new transmission. However, he noticed my 'Certified Used Honda' sticker on the windshield and explained that this part was still under warranty. Joe went above and beyond my expectations. I would 100% recommend him and his partner to anyone. I was recommended by a friend that was also recommended. They are building quite a great reputation for themselves. They explained everything in detail so that even I, a girl with no experience with cars, at least understood the basics of what they were saying. They were priced very fair. more

Everyone in my office goes there to get their cars fixed. There is no reason to go to another garage, this place is it. As a hands-on engineer type, I hate to let anyone else touch my car - I usually do all maintenance on my 80,000 mi Toyota, 240,000 mi Honda, and 230,000 mi Ford myself. However, the Honda needed an air conditioning recharge/conversion and I wanted to comply with EPA regulations, so after reading reviews I brought it here. Pros: The most experienced mechanics you'll find. Very personable. Cons: Some people may not know what to make of the apartment-like waiting room that can be a little dirty (hey, I'd rather have them fixing my car than mopping the floor, what about you?) more

Wow, I can?t say enough about this place. Quick, friendly and honest! I was so happy that I?m looking for other things wrong with my car so I can bring it back. I just got a brake job, but feels like they tweaked up the whole car. I was missing two hubcaps and they happened to have some extra and threw them on free as a surprise. My car is 14 years old and had a loose piece of carpet and jammed air vent that they also adjusted without charge. These are the little things that you know and wish mechanics could do in a snap but never do. Well this place did it! Other places would have charged ?diagnostic fees? ?shop rags? ?disposal fees? etc. and though I?m sure its built in somewhere you don?t feel nickel and dimed to death and the price was still good. I went in for a brake job and felt like I got a whole lot more. - don't know why someone had a con about the waiting room. I understand that it?s not so pretty and there?s no chase lounge, internet or cable available while you wait but come on, it?s a dirty car repair shop. Oil and brake pad soot isn?t all that pretty. I was about to go on a long trip and needed an oil change. They gave me the oil change, but called me and told me I needed a new water pump. They said it was leaking and I would have made it halfway. Every time i go and get work done, they check a lot more than what is needed. They are fast and very thorough. Always with a smile and good sense of humor. I wouldn't go anywhere else, you shouldn't either. They have serviced my van for the last 120,000 miles. It is running as smooth as the day I bought it... I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND going to Orlando Honda/Acura Specialist Inc. When you go, see JOE! Joe was very polite and very, very knowledgeable. He knew what he was talking about and he will take care of your requests. I had my brakes done there and they no longer squeek. I AM FROM NORTH CAROLINA AND MY CAR WOULDN'T START! I TOOK A SHOT IN THE DARK AND CHOSE THESE GUYS DUE TO CITYSEARCH. I AM SO GLAD I DID. JOE (ONE OF THE OWNERS) WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY. THEY FIXED MY CAR AND WHEN IT WOULDNT START THE NEXT MORNING JOE DROVE TO MY COMPLEX (2 MILES AWAY) AND STARTED MY CAR. After moving here from DC I had a hard time trying to find a competent Honda mechanic and service. I tried all the local dealers and was totally dissatisfied. A friend recommend that I try this company and he was right. I called Joe, one of the owners, and he set me up with an appointment immediately for my 90,000 mile service. I found him to be very knowledgeable and polite. He went over with me all the service that was required, quoted me a reasonable price and went to work. I was called when he found an additional problem, I knew I had, and he fixed it at no additional charge and my car was ready as promised. After driving my car for a week it feels like a new one. It purrs like it did when I drove it off the showroom floor. I am totally satisfied with their work and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs their Honda serviced. I have been using these guys for a few years now, and I can easily say that they are the best repair shop in Orlando, if not Central Florida. This is coming from a guy that has had all kinds of crazy cars, from old 70's and 80's sports cars to your basic Toyota's and Honda's. Orlando Honda/Acura Specialists is the best and most reliable automotive repair shop in orlando. I have a 1993 Honda accord my wife drives a ford taurus. No matter what the repair is or the problem, they have the right knowledge and equipment to fix the job. The Owners were very honest about the repairs, and the price better than anywhere I have ever taken my cars to. Hands down I will never take my vehicles anyplace but here. They work on all cars and the work is good and quick. I highly reccomend taking your vehicle there you wont be dissapointed. Ask for Joe or Dwayne and they will take care of you.
