I WOULD GIVE NO STARS IF IT WERE POSSIBLE-On my first visit the dentist didn't even notice my chipped tooth that has a hole in it, she didn't really even speak to me at all. She said everything looked good-no cavities, etc. It should have been a sign when a girl came out crying and her mother was yelling at a dentist but I decided to give them a second try, after all I needed my tooth filled. I should have gone somewhere else-and so should you. When I went in for my 6 month cleaning a different dentist informed me my mouth was now full of cavities and spoke to me like I was a child. Stupidly I went back to have my chipped tooth filled. Here is what happened: I told the reeptionist and the hygenist several times that I DID NOT WANT the silver/mercury filling used for this tooth, I wanted the white. Why? Because it is in a very visible place and I don't really want any more mercury in my mouth than I absolutely have to-it IS a poison. So thinking I had made myself very clear and only having one other cavity in my life I go in and let the dentist fill my tooth. He doesn't show me the result so I don't see the work until I get home and look in the mirror. It's an awful, huge area of dark grey clearly visible anytime I open my mouth. I cannot express how upset I am. When I called the dentist office to complain the receptionist gave excuses for why the dentist did it and said I could come in to have it covered up with some white material, she also proceeded to tell me that I needed a crown on a tooth-which is the first I had heard of this. This may sound stupid but I don't even know what a crown is, much less why I'd need one. The dentist never said a thing about a crown.DO NOT GO HERE!!! I don't trust that the dentists know what they are doing and they certainly have no ehtics. I am looking for another dentist today!
