Orion Ballroom

I was looking for a place to take my 5 year old son for dance lessons. He really wanted to dance, but he was reluctant to join any class he watched because he didn't want to dance with girls in tutus. The Orion ballroom was the perfect solution! The instructor dressed the boys up as pirates and ninjas, piquing their interest in a very unique way to teach basic ballroom steps.\r \r What has been the best about our experience at Orion is the positive approach the teachers use with the kids. It keeps them focused, learning and having fun for an entire hour. My son loves his dance classes, the instructors make him feel right at home and he's learning in a way that he's comfortable dancing with the girls. I haven't seen a child's dance class anywhere else that is so encouraging to both girls and boys. He's really learning how cool it is to be a boy who can dance. Thank you Orion Ballroom. My husband and I, along with another couple who were to be married, signed up for pre-wedding dance classes. We paid a large sum of money up front for a few classes. Unfortunately, each hour session ended up being a total of 30-40 minutes of actual practice and instruction due to the talkative nature of the instructor and interruptions for announcements that were relevant to regular dancers at the studio. Also, our sessions (and those of the other couple) were rescheduled a couple times because they had given instructor priority to newer clients! Rescheduling your last few dance lessons before a wedding is really difficult with all the other obligations that are involved in putting together such an event. To sum it all up, we did not feel that the service or experience provided by Orion Ballroom was anywhere near equal to the price we paid. Pros: Friendly staff Cons: Bad Service, Overpriced more
