Jr. Dugout Club rocks 3/20/2007

The Orioles Jr. Dugout club is great. Kids from 0-12 can join for about $20 a year. This gets them to 20 games for free and up to 5 guests @ $5 each. Also included for the $20 is an annual lunchbox, Orioles baseball hat, and lanyard to hold child's ticket. The best part is fan appreciation day; the concession area near by the Dugout seating has a moonbounce, face painting, tattoes, balloon animals, visits from the Orioles Bird, and it's only $1 each for hotdogs, popcorn, and soda. Even though the seating for the Dugout Club is the upper tier left-outfield, the seating and views are still good. Staff very friendly. Public transit train station right outside the ticket stand. Overall a GREAT deal and I'll be sad when my kids are too old for the club! Pros: Jr. Dugout Club, ambience, retro style, Bath Ruth museum next-door, public transit Cons: construction in north lot, terrible parking more

Inexpensive ballpark experience 3/20/2007

A trip to this ballpark can be an inexpensive outing. A student ID gets you into the upper deck seats for $5 on Friday nights! Also, the stadium lets you bring in food and drinks from vendors outside. Check out the vendors around the Baltimore Convention Center and outside the stadium for cheap ballpark eats. And don't forget about Baltimore's favorite pre-game watering hole--- PICKLES. Located between Eutaw and Russell streets (behind the right foul pole), Pickles sets up outside tents with bars and provides live music before and after games. It might be crowded but it is worth it to say that you've been there! Pros: $5 Tickets with student ID, PICKLES, outside food vendors Cons: loosing team, construction behind the stadium more

BEST VENUE EVER! 3/19/2007

Since Camden Yards opened in 1992 I have had the honor of seeing some of the greatest events ever...a few years ago I attended a Red Sox game near the end of the year on 70's night...Wild Bill Hagy was there! I saw Cal Ripken smash his 400th career home run...most importantly, I was sitting in section 342 when Cal broke Lou Gehrig's record by playing in his 2,131st consecutive game...the greatest live event of any kind I have ever seen. In spite of the fact that the Orioles have not put a contender on the field in over ten years, I will always attend games here, regardless of how badly the team is performing. The atmosphere, the Inner Harbor, and the fabulous food both in and around the Stadium make Camden Yards the perfect place to spend a summer day, day or night. Pros: Transportation, sights, smells, FOOD! Cons: The team's performance on the field for the past dozen years more

A Great Baseball Experience 8/6/2005

I have been to Camden Yards five times and have yet to be disappointed. THe ballpark is beautiful. I've had seats in the upper deck in right field and had a great view of everything except the out of town scoreboard. The ushers are the friendliest and most accomodating in any ballpark I've been to. The standard ballpark fare is the best (hot dogs, sausage sandwiches, soda, peanuts). I love Babe's Ribs out in right field. This year they actually improved them. Oriole fans are the most upbeat I've seen, there is never an early mass exodus during a game the O's are losing. I've gone with friends and taken my kids and have had a great time, every time. You can buy inexpensive bottled water, soda and snacks outside the ballpark and they let you take it into the stadium. Pros: Atmosphere, Food, Staff Cons: Pricey more

An All Around good time! 8/5/2005

We went to see the Yankees play the Orioles at Camden Yards. We were in section 310, and the very higest row of seats. The view was still great, the fans were great, and the value was great. Where else can you see the Yankees play for $9 a ticket!! more

A Modern Step Back in Time 8/5/2005

Camden Yards is the first of the modern retro ballparks, and for that reason, I consider it one of the best. For a baseball fan, this park does not disappoint: beautifully maintained natural grass, exposed green steel beams, brick walls, asymetrical outfield walls, great sight lines, and quirky features like the brick warehouse in right and the ivy in centerfield. The stadium is kept clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the concessions are just as overpriced as everywhere else. A jewel in downtown Baltimore. A+ Pros: Quirky features, Brick facade, Exposed steel Cons: Parking, Sketchy area more

Most overrated MLB field in the nation 4/13/2005

After years of hearing about the GREAT Camden Yards, I was GREATLY disappointed. We sat in the upper deck 3rd base line and could not see the 3rd base line. Seats are very uncomfortable and really crammed together. Tickets overpriced and the stadium is over rated -- BUT I am going to go back to see Palmero, Sosa, and Santiago -- that is the ONLY reason though Pros: Palmero, Sosa, Santiago Cons: sightline, ticket price, seat comfort more

prices 5/24/2003

skyhigh ticket prices and concessions priced way to high has me wathcing the keys more. more

The best time 12/24/2002

I had the opportunity to go to Oriole Park at Camden Yards for the second game of the year in 2001. Not only did I get to see the best baseball park in MLB, but I got to see Cal Ripken and Hideo Nomo's no-hitter. The stadium has better Barbeque than Kansas City at Boog Powell's Pit and they had the most friendliest staff ever at Bambino's Sports Bar. I hope I get a chance to go back some year because I would take my whole family to see this spectacular park. Pros: best park in baseball, awesome food, best staff in Basebal Cons: could be in nicer loc more

GO O'S 9/12/2002

The Oriole Birds Home 7/22/2002

Oriole Park at Camden Yards is an awesome ballpark. The food and beverages choices are huge and taste unbelievable. If you visit Baltimore and have an evening to yourself you should purchase tickets and see them O's play. Pros: Great Fans, Good Food & Drinks more

baseball at it's best 6/6/2002

Camden Yards was the first of the new ""retro-style"" ballparks. there are good sight-lines, grass field, plus modern ameneties. you can walk from Camden Yards to the Inner Harbor. also make sure to check out Eutaw Street and Boog Powell's BBQ. overall, it's worth a trip to Baltimore to visit Camden Yards. more
