Solid Mexican 4/1/2008

Good solid mexican food. Chile is just right. Good authentic mexican feel, none of this fancy beans and rice with a sprig of parsley on the plate. I'll definitely go back. Pros: great food. Cons: make sure you get the rght bootleg.. more

Only the ""ORIGINAL"" Chubby's 12/29/2003

When I lived in San Jose, CA, the only place I could think of was the ""Original Chubby's"". I'd compare every place I've been to, to this place. I know, this isn't high quality, but this place is cheap Mexican food, and yet its SOO dammnn GOOD! I warn all my friends before taking them that they better have strong stomachs, and I could eat there almost every other day (and have), but this is one of the only places that I'll definitely MISS when I leave Colorado. Chubby's is the HOT BOMB 8/11/2003

Do not be intimidated by where Chubby's is located or the restraunt. First the green chilli reminds me of my grandmother's who learned it from her mother. Where else can you have a burrito and cure a cold for $4? If you can not handle HHHOOOTTT this might not be your cup of tea. Otherwise look at the people that you see in Chubby's.
