Great food, awesome service and convenient location. I'm not much for spicy food, but my friends love it. Origin offers individual portions so that we can all get different levels of hot. I highly recommend trying this place out. Pros: Location, Food and service Cons: nothing more

When it comes to Indian food I am somewhat of an expert as I am Indian and have grown up with it!! Therefore I am very picky about the food as it is my favorite cuisine. Origin India is without a doubt the best Indian restaurant in the country (that I have had the pleasure to eat at and I have eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants across the US)!! The food, atmosphere, decor and service are excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and the chef is willing to come out and make suggestions on what to order. He is also willing to make you something that is not on the menu (as long he has the ingredients). On several occasions they have met my need to satisfy my cravings for dishes that are not the menu. This is a modern Indian restaurant and the food is served in single portions (family style is available upon request) and the presentation is also excellent. One of the best things about this restaurant is that the chef tries recipes that are different from your run of the mill Indian restaurants. The bar is well stocked which is a nice surprise as most Indian restaurants usually have a very limited bar. The only criticism that i have is that they need to come up with some exotic cocktails that compliment the menu. I just love the atmosphere inside Origin India. The music is relazing and the food is delicious. We brought a large party for dinner and they were able to accomadate us easily. We really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was extremely friendly. One unique thing about Origin is they have individual serving sizes as well as family style options. Our only complaint is to ourselves for not trying this place sooner. Pros: Ambience, Staff, Food!!! more

Origin India is a great place to take someone that has never tried indian. The staff really helps you with the menu and so far everything I've tried has been great. I have been to Origin India a few times now and I must say it is great!! The food is always delicious and the staff is super friendly. They are attentive and are great with recommendations on food and wine. Yes there is wine. A good selection too. :) The atmosphere is good for a intimate date or a group of friends alike. I recommend Origin to anyone looking for good Indian food or if you just love trying out new places. :) more

I recently moved to Seattle from Vegas and have been having a hard time finding great Indian food. Back for a visit I stopped in to my favorite restaurant, Origin India for dinner. I normally get the Tandoori Jhinga and it's always amazing, but the chef also brought out some Keema Aloo and it was simiply divine. Of course I had to have my favorite Beet's Halwa for dessert. I think this restaurant has it all, great food, good service and a enjoyable atmosphere. I highly recommend you check it out. Pros: Food and Service Cons: Can't think of anything more

I have been hearing so much about this restaurant, I thought it was finally time to try them out. SIMPLY DELICIOUS!!! The most tender Lamb Seekh Kebab that I have ever tasted. As a Las Vegas foodie - I am always so excited to see true epicurean restaurants enter our Valley. I couldn't agree more with the RJ's review - Origin India IS THE BEST INDIAN food in Las Vegas. I also, happen to read both Max Jacobson's and Al Mancini's review - which is why I tried Origin India in the first place. All three reviews were RAVING and I could not agree more with their assesments of the restaurant. It's nice to see a restaurant that goes outside the ordinary - serving dishes like Murgh Mukhani rather than the staple Chicken Tikka Masala. At first I was surprised not to see Chicken Tikka Masala even on the menu, since it is such a signature Indian dish; however, I was even more surprised/delighted when I ventured away from the ordinary and tried something new!!!! I eat at Origin India every opportunity I get - which is at least once a week and would recommend it to everyone. If you don't want to listen to a fan - then at least let the true critics opinions' (like Heidi Knapp, Max Jacobson and Al Mancini) allow you to try Las Vegas' BEST INDIAN food!!! Indian food is my absolute favorite kind of food and I have yet to find a restaurant as delicious as Origin. Murg Makhani is wonderful and I have to tear myself away from it to try new things, but when I do I'm always happy. The lamb is also divine. Since it's opening I've yet to go back to any other indian restaurant. The service is amazing and the staff is very accomadating. They are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that we are happy. WOW!!! Recently my sister took me to Origin for the first time. The food was amazing, I ordered Chana Masala and it was great. Aloo tikki was also wonderful I've never eaten Indian food before and I was surprised at how delicious it was. The server was very sweet and we never waited for our water glasses to be re-filled. Everyone, stay away. Stay as far away from this restaurant as you can. We spent $450 on a meal last week. Service is allright, a little spotty but service and decor are perhaps the best thing about this crappy restaurant. Don't get fooled by the nice website. That's how they got me. I can't recommend one dish, not one. Even the Naan was bad. How can Naan be bad? The Daal was bad. The Chicken Tikka Masala was bad. A dish with tomatoes, cream and grilled chicken. How do you mess that up? Go to Origin India and find out. Bottom Line: Not worth it, Stay Away. Go to Tamba or Gandhi. This place was pathetic...
