Unsanitary 11/14/2009

Don't eat at the Oriental Buffet in Lynnwood. I went there yesterday and I paid for lunch and they began to put out sushi, so naturally I assumed I could eat it. I dished some up and went back to my table and picked up a piece to eat and the waitress came rushing over and informed we I woud have to pay the dinner price if I wanted to eat the sushi. I was finished with my meal for the most part and was not about to pay an extra 5 or 6 dollars for a few pieces of sushi, so she took my plate from me and brought it back over to the sushi chef for him to put back out for the other people to eat. I had already taken it to my table and touched it. I now question the sanitation at this restaurant and will not be returning. That is just plain gross that they put food back out that has already been on the table. What other food ends out back on the buffet line? I know they see a lot of waste and I can't help but wonder if they take stuff off the plates back in the kitchen and reserve it. On top of being grossed out by this, I was also a little embarassed. I would suggest you go to Grand China Buffet on Evergreen Way if you are looking for a clean and tastey buffet. Pros: Good price Cons: Unsanitary more

Awesome Oriental Food - tonnes of Seafood! 8/18/2009

More food than you can possibly sample - all very fresh and authentic tasting. Even my picky eaters (children) love going there! Pop and milk are just $1 and come in huge refillable cups! Sushi is amazing - made right in front of you. Waitresses are very friendly and have total servant attitudes. Decor is also very unique - all updated - you'll love it! I can hardly say enough about this place. I'll bet, when it becomes more well known, they'll raise the prices. It would still be worth going there! Did I mention that kids eat for 35 cents a year?!!! That means all 3 of my kids eat for $6.65! You sure can't feed them at McD's for that - and the food is actually GOOD for them! What a concept! Pros: So much variety - ALL excellent - awesome sushi too! Cons: They don't serve juice for kids more

tastes great but gave me bubblies =( 1/13/2009

I thought it tasted okay. The problem is that nothing is really good and a lot of the food is mediocre to decent. The only issue I had was that I had some really bad bubblies afterwards. It may have been because I ate too much greasy food at one sitting. There's nothing like bad bubblies. Pros: variety Cons: ambience and price more

Too salty and sweet 2/18/2007

Im not sure for other ethincs, but for Chinese its tooo salty and sweet, perhaps some other people will like it thuogh. i went to above address and found the a different restaurant called Seafood XXXX Buffet. offered 6.99 for lunch during weekdays, which is the same as previous review. I believe this is the one they are talking about. So, probably the name is wrong. Pros: Too salty and Sweet Cons: Not for chinese more

No cutting corners here! 9/25/2006

The first, lunch-time visit to this buffet delighted us, but it was the dinner that really impressed! With about 10 kinds of sushi, the Japanese section alone nearly made it worth the entry price (about $19/person), beating those expensive and pretentious conveyor/boat sushi buffets. I dont think I saw a single measly cucumber-and-imitation-crab sushi here; the offerings included about 6 kinds of sashimi and about 4 kinds of tasty, colorful rolls, in addition to other less complex but nice varieties. There was a large selection of flavorful salads and appetizers, and the dessert section with lots of fresh fruit, pastries and even made-to-order crepes. There were four soups (including beef and shark fin), and a decent dim-sum selection. Word of advice: sample small portions of each item if you wish to get through (or to) the formidable and tasty entrees section. Oh, and in case you think on the inside this buffet looks as cheap and depressing as most of them, think again. The tables, made of what I thought was a genuine wood, had a rich dark color and a perfectly smooth, shiny finish, which added to the buffets clean and inviting interior. Pros: Tasty food, huge selection, sushi Cons: It's not in Seattle. more

Best chiniese buffet in Seattle area 1/19/2006

It is a big buffet and price is $6.99 only at lunch and all you can eat. It has Japanese sushi as well as Chinese food items. Most of them are chinese though. Spicy food lover's paradise. Service is good and I specially liked the ambience, almost like Old Country Buffet. Cons: You get overstuffed more

Hearty AND tasty Asian cuisine!!! 9/25/2005

Dude, if you want hearty, flavorful Asian cuisine, look no more! This place eliminates the need to limit yourself to few Chinese dishes to share with your buddies wondering what will actually arrive at your table. We were very happy with the variety of the dishes at the buffet table and what's more, they were actually good with lots of unique flavors-like the spicy pork and the ginger crab. The Korean dishes were excellent too-I highly recommend the spicy chicken stew. Service is limited but very friendly-which sounds kinda funny but let's face it we're there for the food-right? And that more than makes up for you having to get your own drinks...by the way, they have chocolate milk too!! Pros: hearty, flavorful, variety Cons: not intimate more

Definitely a step above similar buffets 7/15/2005

This place has been my little secret for a long time. It features a huge selection of fresh Chinese and other Asian foods daily. Everyone will be quite pleased, although it's probably not the best place to go with vegetarians. I highly recommend the Spicy Pork. The restaurant is large and charming in its own way. For some reason they always seems to have a Abba greatest hits CD playing, which is a pro or con depending on how you look at it. If you want to stuff yourself silly then this is the place to do it. Pros: Great selection, Fresh, Abba Cons: High weekend prices, Iffy dessert, Limited staff more

You need to try this restaurant! 11/3/2004

Excellent food, not bland like most chinese buffets and really a great bargain. On the weekends there is a lot of seafood that they feature which includes the yummy ginger crab, and there are lot of korean items too. All the drinks were included in the price which is not the case for the other similar restaurants. Since this isn't a chain, the owners add a personal touch. There was only 1 bus person, but other than that food/service was extraordinary. Pros: tasty food, good price, clean more
