Perfect Day away from the City 12/31/2005

I felt like I was in Napa or Tuscany, only miles from Portland. Gorgeous scenery, great wine, and good food. What a surprise find. Loved the restaurants and wineries in Dundee the best, Carlton also very nice. more

We're not in Napa? 7/9/2005

The ability to get up in the morning and decide you are going to spend the day wine-tasting is a treat we are lucky to enjoy. I have my favorite wineries, but always like to try a new one. The staff are almost always welcoming and knowledgable. Occasionally you get someone who thinks they are working in a California winery and aren't too friendly. Taking a picnic lunch is always great. The landscape is beautiful in spring and even better in the fall. Taking a map that includes open-close hours is a must. Pros: great wine, nice drives Cons: it's overdeveloped, cost more

Amazing! 11/3/2002

This has become my favorite place to go! As a new resident to Oregon, I was in heaven when I discovered the wineries. The countyside is magnificent and you can fool yourself into thinking your in France. My advice is to take more time to discover the wineries off the main highway. The mile or two out of your way is definetely worth it! Pros: Scenic beauty, Great wines, Close to home Cons: Crowds, Traffic on Highway more

Fall in Wine Country 10/11/2002

A fall drive through the Chehalem Valley from Forest Grove to Newberg topped off by a lunch in Dundee is a fabulous way to spend a day. more
