Our experience at Opa ranked well among our dining experiences in Spokane. Our server was was pleasant, efficient and very attentive. We had the Meze appetizer, mousaka, chicken Santorini, two cups cauliflower soup, Baklava and Tiramisu. The starter was very good and provided a terrific sampling of the variety of flavors offered with Greek cuisine. Both the mousaka and chicken were good, although I?ve had better mousaka that was richer, creamier and more forcefully spiced. The mousaka came with Greek salad, which was traditional and flavorful. A real plus. The chicken was a unique dish that provided a carefully crafted blend of flavors. Kudos!! Dinner was accompanied by a nice and affordable bottle of Greek wine. On the negative side, the soup was too thin and uninspired, and the desserts were both misses. The Baklava was not the perfect blend of flavors that we know it can be and Tiramisu was out of a box from the frozen food section. In total, our review might sound worse than it?s meant to be. We had a delightful dinner and will be happy to return for another sampling of the ethnic offerings at Opa. The pizza looks great. Think we give that a try next time.
Pros: Authentic ethnic food,
Cons: Dessert not great
