When I moved to Spokane I looked around for a place to have my haircut and it took me over a year until I found this place and I am so glad I finally did. I went to Jazz Salon for a while and I had several of the girls that worked there cut my hair and they never impressed me. Alla cuts my hair and she does a fantastic job and she consistently does a great job. Anyone looking for a reliable, skilled stylist should ask for her. I LOVE the Onyx Pearl. more

I get my haircut from Vera at Onyx/Pearl Salon and Spa. Vera gives the best haircut in the Inland Empire. I come all the way from Post Falls, because it is well worth the trip. You should really give it a try. more

This is the best salon in town. Amanda is the BOMB with color, takes 10 years off of me in a single session! She always cuts my hair the way I want it and I couldn't be happier with the color and it lasts for quite some time! If you are looking for a change but afraid of too much change than these are the stylists for you! more

I have been associated with the stylists since they were at Strata. If you want the best cut and color in town go to Onyx Pearl. The girls that relocated from Strata, especially Jen, are amazing. They can work wonders with hair color and styling. I used to live in Spokane and recently moved to Boise. Needless to say, I travel from Boise to Spokane just to have Onyx Pearl do my hair!!! Crazy, but totally worth it. I have yet to find someone who can do my hair color and styling as well as this salon. I love them all, their staff is friendly, honest, and talented. Prior to moving to Spokane, I lived in California and traveled internationally. I spent major money at top international celebrity hair salons. I followed my stylist, Amanda, from Strata to the Onyx Pearl. I found the salon to be absolutely beautiful, much nicer than Strata. I think all former Strata clients will be very pleased with their fave stylists' new home! I know I am. As usual I left feeling gorgeous and relaxed. Amanda knows her stuff, from color to cut, perfect every time. All of the staff at Onyx Pearl are terrific. Give my love to Baxter Amanda! Pros: Amanda is there! Gentlemen, you will not be disappointed! When you walk in, you will be greeted by the best staff around. The atmosphere is sophisticated. The ladies (barbers) are awesome - very professional and know how to work a pair of scissors. The Exclusive hair service is great. You will have a difficult time returning to Supercuts after this!!! I ever since I moved from California to Washington I was so worried about finding a long-term great stylists. But then I met Melanie when she was at Strata, and I love how she always knows what to do for my hair. Whether it's a repair treatment or I want to experiment with new hair color. I would recommend her or any of the other great stylist at Onyx Pearl. I have even seen some of the other staff when Mel, was ill. So, if you aren't able to reach her on her schedule then check out Kathryn or Amanda they are Great!!! Also, Courtney does a great job on waxing, I religously have her wax my legs and underarms. Anyhow, they are great and you will feel satisfied and beautiful when you leave! Pros: Beautiful place with fabulous stylists!!! Cons: None! more

i used to go to kathryn from strata. i had been going there for almost a year. when i found out that all the girls that were working at strata moved to onyx pearl i was a little worried because i like the old location so much. but once i stepped into the new location, i feel in love. its so much more intimate, and i feel like i am a movie star. its nice to see all the other stylists there and happy. kathryn always cuts and colors my hair, and again it turned out great. i am so happy about this move!!! good luck girls! This place as soon as I stepped in had a classy feel and yet was still comfortable and not intimidating. Everyone I met was very friendly and the receptionist was nice and offered beverages. My stylist Mel, understood how my personal style was, so I wasn't scared when she actually started coloring and cutting my hair. It turned out AMAZING! It was edgy but still classy and I felt great when I left. I would recommend this place to anyone changing hair stylist and ready ti find someone they just want to stick with. I just visited Onyx Pearl salon and totally loved it!! The receptionists are super friendly and made me feel right at home, The salon looks very upscale but feels really comfortable, not snooty! I got a cut and color that turned out exactly how i wanted it,( i brought a pic) and I had a blast with my stylist Mel! I would totally reccomend this salon! I saw they also do massage and facials and waxing and had a cool barber area for guys! the only down part is parking downtown is all pay, but there was a ton of it around the salon.
