Editorial review from Citysearch 11/17/2012

Went to Onlyoga yesterday for the first time. Owner John Meredith was teaching a beginners Ashtanga class. . What a welcoming, 'cool' environment. The practice was serious & challenging (my shoulders are really feeling it today!), but John's unique/quirky style made the atmosphere almost playful.... It was a wonderful experience. ""Real' yogis are serious about yoga, but don't take themselves too seriously. Onyloga appears to be real thing:-) ENJOY!!! more

An AWESOME studio. 2/29/2008

John Meredith and the rest of his teachers create a warm and safe environment to grow in. This studio is awesome if you want to be challenged and grow mentally, physically and spiritually. John continually teaches me I can go further, do more and accomplish more than I ever thought was possible. No matter how I feel when I walk into the studio, I always feel better after a class. I love this studio and always look forward to taking a class. Pros: John Meredith, class size, personal attention, guidance, studio store more

Best, Amazing, Fabulous...You get the idea! 7/12/2007

Only Yoga is a wonderful place. I started as a beginner almost four years ago (at age 35), have hardly missed a week since, and hope to continue (as do many in the studio) well into my 40's, 50's, 60's, and beyond! I've visited other studios all over the country and each time I return to Only Yoga with an even greater appreciation for John Meredith (owner and teacher) and the Ashtanga practice he's developed at the studio. For new students Only Yoga offers an immersive introduction into the physical and mental benefits of a regular practice. For long time students the class variety and rigor keep you entertained, inspired and challenged. The midtown studio is small enough so you receive personal attention, but large enough so that you have room to move and breath. The classes range from beginning to advanced, with convenient times and moderate prices. It's a great physical space, and a great soulful environment. If you're seeking a nice blend of physical and mental exercise you'll love this place and the people. Not too overly warm and fuzzy, not too hard core gym like. People of all ages, shapes and sizes frequent Only Yoga making it one of the most diverse studios as well. If this is your first time I highly recommend starting with an intro class to learn the basics of the series, proper alignment and the Ashtanga flow. Joining John Meredith, Leigh Mallis and the other wonderful teachers in an ongoing yoga practice has been the best thing I've done for my health and well being?ever. Pros: Ashtanga, Teachers, Class Variety, Setting, Location more

Inspired Authentic Power Yoga 3/10/2005

onlYoga offers a unique yoga experience for a yoga studio in Atlanta. John Merideth is one of the most highly trained and experienced Ashtanga Yoga Instructors in the S.E. His classes untilize the classical method and make learning this highly dynamic form of yoga fun and challenging. If you want an authentic experience, with gifted instructor, in a beautiful space...visit onlYoga! There isn't a class at another studio in Atlanta that even compares... Pros: Great Location, Excellent Instructors, Inexpensive Cons: Tucked Away more

Simply the best yoga studio in town 3/7/2005

I have been practicing yoga for 7 years and there aren't many studios in Atlanta I haven't been to. Having said that, I can say that onlYoga stands out and I highly recommend this studio whether one is new to yoga or an experienced Ashtanga practitioner. The space is small with hardwood floors, high ceiling, and windows framed by trees overlooking Peachtree Street in midtown Atlanta. Students and teachers are highly motivated with classes varied and challenging. -- LHull Pros: beautiful space, midtown location, small classes Cons: side street parking more

Bliss 8/13/2004

I love this studio!! The space is beautiful. It's not too large. The classes are a little smaller than at the larger studios, which means more personal attention. All the teachers are good. John Merideth (owner/teacher) is an incredible teacher. Classes are challenging! Another thing I really like is there are opportunities to explore meditation, pranayama and chanting from time to time. Pros: Teaching Expertise, Committed practioners, Challenging more
