Worst

This dry cleaner is the absolute worst and I guess I should be the one to blame because they say you get what you pay for! I took my work uniforms there and paid for rush service ...

Editorial review from Citysearch 2/25/2014

I will never return, the owners Cindy and Ken are unprofessional and do not know how to treat their clients. I was a customer for almost 10 yrs and when it changed ownership the quality and care completely diminished. I would spend weekly an average of $30-70 and I guess my business was not important. They ruined a skirt from one of my $188 suits insulted me with $40. In addition to that they refused to return my skirt, holding it hostage. There were a couple spots from tomato soup on the skirt (which the jacket covered when worn) but I wanted have these removed. Ken the owner AKA Spot Remover as he calls himself said he could. He never informed me that the chemical to be utilized would possibly react worsening the small almost unnoticeable spot - it went from being a dime size spot to the size of my palm. If I would have been warned then I could have determined to chance it. I was livid and he said to leave the skirt with him a few days and he would use another product to counter act it. I came back a week later and he said they skirt could not be fixed and was ruined and could not be returned and that for my troubles he could offer me $40 I told him that was unacceptable. He said their policy pays 10 times the charge and that $40 was more than generous. The charge for the suit was actually $7.18 (receipt available) so ten times that charge is $70 but his rebuttal was that the jacket was fine so that did not apply. I guess they don't consider a suit a set! He told me his wife Cindy would call me to discuss as she is the store manager and the decision maker. She never called so I called her 5 hrs later and when I spoke with her she offered me $50 and said she would return the skirt. I was not entirely happy with that decision but decided to take the high road and move on simply opting not to return to do business. She called back then 5 min later with a complete different tone of voice than her initial apologetic tone stating why would I be calling her if her husband ""clearly"" told me $40 was the amount and that the skirt would NOT be return. At this time I was not going to bicker about $10 as the aggravation was too much. I told them I wanted to pick up my last items and move on. I set an appointment to return to their location after I picked up my children from school and when I arrived neither owner was there. One of the employees called them and I could hear the entire conversation. Ken was very rude and I chose not to repeat. I could tell by the clerk's face he didn't even know what to say as she was the one that initially took the skirt in and knew the damage done and wouldn't say much probably concerned about her job if she did. I left with nothing as I was told the owners were unable period. I left yet again and returned almost a week later to pick up a $25 check from Cindy so they ended up giving the $15 - they were very insulting and condescending. I will never return to this location and everyone needs to know how they treat loyal long time customers. more

Worst Service Ever!!! 2/5/2011

This dry cleaner is the absolute worst and I guess I should be the one to blame because they say you get what you pay for! I took my work uniforms there and paid for rush service because I needed them back the next day. When I picked up my dry cleaning, I noticed that my shirts had a yellowish tint on them. I removed the plastic to discover that my shirts appeared burnt. I complained, of course, to the manager and was told that I could pick them up on Monday once they re-cleaned them. I told her that I needed them tomorrow for work, hence my reason for paying extra for rush service. She looked at me, unaffected, and said she would refund me the .50 rush service charged for each shirt. more

Ruined! 11/14/2007

I have used their services for at least a year and they have destroyed two expensive garments of mine and I have had to return garments for service that looked unfinished. I have tried to negotiate some kind of compensation but they always find an excuse to not pay (i.e. the garment was defective or the article was brought in with stains). My first clearly stated not to dry clean certain areas (which One Price ignored) and they melted all the rhinestones unto my $140 dress. They denied dry cleaning it and said the dress was defective. My second ruined garment is a designer silk dress and on the day I was due to pick it up a staff member called to warn me that they started to clean the dress but discovered it was bleeding and immediately dried the garment. I inspected the dress and it was definitely ruined. The manager called me the next day to tell me they (allegedly) HAD NOT touched the dress and that I brought in the garment with stains. They refuse to compensate me. On separate occasions I have witnessed 2 other customers yell and curse at the manager and other staff for ruining garments. Broward County does not have any regulations or ordinances that can assist a consumer with negligent acts by local dry cleaning businesses. Miami-Dade County does provide a pretty extensive and detailed ordinance on how to file and process a complaint. I plan to use Miami's ordinance as a model to some extent. In the alternative, all I can do is warn you to avoid this One Price Dry Cleaners like the plague! Pros: They have your garments ready by the day indicated on the receipt Cons: When they ruin your garments they use every excuse to avoid compensation. more
