Ok, So I will give you the truth:
Great Gym & Common Areas - they got so many things right with this building!
Pool Looks Beautiful- lets see how congested it gets during summer?
Grocery Store- Awesome! you never have to cook again if you don't want to-
Door people are attentive but a funny bunch- If I walk out in a Armani Suit they scramble- more often than not- I walk out in running shorts or shorts and sandals and have to get the door myself, how funny!
Lets talk about Noise and here is the big kicker, I can hear the people walking above me in spite of the thick floors, no big deal.
I can hear the people on my left sides little dog bark, no big deal dogs bark, the people on my right and left are hardy ever here so I don't hear any noise other than the little dog occasionally.

from Discovery Park- do not face the park or you will go insane from the outdoor skating rink music and announcements every day from 2PM until 10 PM/11PM Fri/Sat. for 70+ days in a row minus closure due to weather (Mid-Nov. - Mid-Jan.)!!!!!
Then you have all the live bands and music, the private parties, outdoor movies you can hear over you own TV inside your unit- ect, ect, ect. (all year around) and you cannot get away from it in your apartment, I hear it all they way throughout my entire unit- no joke I have at least 10 recordings with my terrace door closed, where you can hear the words over PA from discovery, bands, promotions, during these times you cannot use your balcony.
ONE PARK PLACE WILL NOT let you out of your lease for any reason, even if you die your estate has to make the next full months payment on rent, before they release you from your lease.
I love my unit, I love the building - I would rent from One Park Place the entire 5 years I will be in Houston and gladly give them my 150K over the 5 year period.
But, I will be moving out at the one year mark when my lease is up due to the incredible noise penetration of t
