Don't buy the hype 11/29/2006

I am hesitant to write a negative review of any business, but this place has earned it. My review is based off of 4 visits to this theater, so I believe it is fair. From reading the other reviews I see that I am going to be in the minority, but I really despise this theater. Yes, it is new. Yes, the seats are large and comfy. Yes, all the good movies play here. But it all comes at a price. First off, it is $9.50 for a regular-priced ticket. Easily the most expensive in the Seattle area, Cinerama aside. Next, it has been extremely crowded every time I have been there. So crowded that the parking lot has been full 3 out of the 4 times I have been there. Not only that, but it is over-run with obnoxious teenagers. Why do I use the word over-run? Because the management staff cannot control these groups. 3, count em 3, times my $9.50 movie has been severely interrupted by young people laughing, yelling things at the screen, answering cell phones and overall disrespectful behavior. Once I asked the management to handle the situation, and they did nothing. The two other times I had to take matters in to my own hands and speak to these groups directly. After the last time this happened, I spoke to the customer service rep. about their policy regarding these incidents. He said if someone is being disruptive, they will send a staff member into the theater to check it out and if the people are still being disruptive, they MAY ask them to leave. This is a terrible policy which results in people missing a good chunk of the movie to deal with rude idiots. I truly believe that local teenagers have made a game out of interrupting movies because they know they can get away with it and that is funny to them. I have no idea how these people are even getting in to these shows, since two of the times this has happened the shows have been rated R. I have sent my concerns to the management, who responded by telling me that they know it is an ongoing problem for them. This makes me wonder why they are not enforcing a stricter policy! They sent me some passes for my trouble. We used them recently, and to their credit there was no incident (minus the 30 minutes it took to park and the 10 minutes in line). We also saw a movie that had been out for 3 weeks with only 5 or so other people in the theater, so I think that helped a bit. Bottom line is that it is just not worth the hassle to see a show here. Sure it is beautiful, but it is not worth having your show interrupted. I'd rather go to Crossroads, where it is a little low-key, but at least I know I will watch what I paid for in peace. more

Lincoln Square Cinemas. First Class All the Way. 9/12/2006

After five visits to Lincoln Square Cinemas I am thoroughly sold. Not only is the facility a cut above most of the local theaters, the total experience is better as well. They're obviously thinking about the customer, from the person who tears your tickets to the live greeter (?) who comes in just before the feature to make sure you let them know if there's any way they can help...from quieting a noisy group in the next row to providing sound enhancements. The theater seating is very roomy. They feel like first class airline seats and are a step up from most of the other local movie houses, with swing up arms in case you want to cuddle with your movie date. The popcorn isn't the best theater-popped I've had but certainly passable...if a bit dry. The refreshment counters are set up for fast service and the people behind the counters seem well trained and courteous. Add the ample free parking in the Lincoln Square facility and this is a pretty thorough combination of pluses...and my vote for best theater in the Seattle/Bellevue environs. more

Lincoln Square Nice clean, fast online purchase. 8/31/2006

I love online purchasing I hate lines, despise them really. If i wanted to wait in cue i would be at Disneyworld. Any who. Check out the online purchase button in the lower right of the site. http://www.lincolnsquarecinemas.com/ Yes you can use fandango for other places, but combine the atmosphere, refreshment choices and general overall cleanliness of the place and you will fall in love. That not just to mention the seats, the number of screens, the location ect ect. The one down fall is the parking. It can be confusing the first couple of times. I now park in the belle-square lot next to Nordstrom’s and walk across the sky bridge. more

Lincoln square is the place to be if you want an alternative to the Cinerama! 5/31/2006

Lincoln square theater is a new theater in Bellevue right across from Bellesquare. This theater is cool because it has stadium style seating, great for a couples because of the raised arm also the seats are leather style as well. Being that its still a relatively new theater the floors arent sticky (yet). The theater seems to get most of the latest movies with many different screens to choose from. A few things i notice about this theater that i dont see at other places is the serve ice cream like 31 flavors and they have one of the supervisors greet and do an announcement before the movie starts. Thats excellent customer service. how can you beat a nice new theater, large screens, clean, non-sticky floors, stadium style seating and above all free parking, something you only expect from the eastside. more

Licnoln Square Cinema--My favorite theater! 5/10/2006

If you like watching movies in leather seats, lots of leg room, and free parking, you must visit the Lincoln Square Cinema! This is my favorite place to go now. Not only is it close to home, it has free parking. I normally go to Pacific Place for movies, but lately, I've been frequenting Lincoln Square. I like how tickets to popular movies are hardly sold out. I can count on getting there and finding good seats. It's also very clean and the crowd is older so you don't have a lot of little kids being obnoxious in the theater! The selling point of this place is definitely the big, roomy leather seats and the spacious aisles. You don't have to stand up and put your seat up so people can walk through the aisle. It's great! more
