We have been members of their monthly service plan for 2 1/2 years. We had never had a bad experience until recently. A tech came out for a pre-season inspection of our air conditioner and forgot to reattach part of the drain. That night I went into the basement to find standing water on the floor. I called immediately to report the problem and spoke with the ""night supervisor"" who said he would relay the problem, and call back the next day. The only assistance he offered was to send a tech out. However, the problem was not with my air conditioner, it was just negligence on the part of the tech from earlier in the day.
I never heard from them the next day. 4 days later I called back and spoke with the service manager who had never heard of this issue. I had told both the night supervisor and the service manager that I wanted my monthly plan canceled, but continued to be charged for it. I made a third call to the service manager who said he would talk with accounting, and it could take 1-2 weeks for a refund of my $30 monthly fee. I am still waiting to see if this happens.
In speaking with them, no one seemed too concerned that they had messed up so significantly, no one seemed overly worried that I was cancelling my plan with them, and no one made any effort of any sort to really reconcile the issue. I will NOT be using Dial One Hour, Mr. Sparky, or Ben Franklin plumbing ever again due to the lack of customer service, lack of communication, and lack of performance by their service techs.
