Amazing Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist 9/2/2008

I've been treated by Tyler for almost a year for chronic headaches and neck pain. I can't express the changes he's made in my life -- helping me not only manage pain, but be nearly rid of it entirely. My only regret is that I wasted several years with other doctors, medications and treatments. I wish I had found Tyler Martin earlier. He is thorough, professional and amazingly effective in his treatment. Pros: Effective, affordable, great treatment options Cons: None more

Tyler Martin has been treating me for various symptoms of multiple sclerosis for about 8 months. For the past 7 years I have experienced leg weakness and pain, muscle spasticity, facial burning, debilitating fatigue, and extreme sensitivity to heat so I decided to give acupuncture a try. At the recommendation of a friend, I emailed Tyler with a couple of questions about how he could help me and I was immediately impressed with how quickly and thoughtfully he answered. I really felt like he was hearing me, that he knew what he was talking about, and sensed I would be in good hands. Since I started treatment, I don't have nearly as many episodes of facial burning, my fatigue is much more manageable and I'm thrilled that sometimes my spasticity can be alleviated without another prescription for a anti-spasmodic. My situation is complicated by the unpredictable process of MS, but no matter what symptom flared up that week or no matter how I've injured myself (I tend to fall down once in a while...), I know I can count on his compassion and his skill at acupuncture and massage to help get me back together and on with my life. Tyler never claimed he could cure MS for me, but he did promise he could make me more comfortable and improve the quality of my life and he kept his word. Tyler understands the impact of a chronic illness on the body, mind, and spirit and I find that his treatments are effective on all three. I've learned a lot from Tyler I am extremely impressed with Martin Acupuncture. Pros: Professional, compassionate, very focused on the client's concerns Cons: Absolutely none more

Tyler Martin's treatment gave me back the use of my dominant hand. My inernist and orthopedic hand specialist were unable to help me before I was helped by Tyler. He is professional, compassionate and clearly explains the Chinese medicine he uses. more

Mr. Martin is the best acupuncture and tui-na practitioner I have met in Seattle. His approach is holistic and realistic in how he links office practice to sustainable self care at home. He is very experienced, incredibly professional, and always willing to say "that's interesting - I'll have to look into that." I especially like the balance between acupuncture and massage, as well as education in how use techniques at home. I would recommend him to anyone. more

I have been going to Martin Acupuncture for well over a year. I am 75 and have severe scoliosis and bad knees. Just getting around was becoming more and more difficult and I finally had to begin using a cane. I finally took a friend's advice and began looking for an accupuncturist. I found Mr. Martin's website on the internet, I sent several emails with questions which he promptly answered. When I felt satisfied that with the information I had received I printed out the forms, filled them out and made an appointment. Within two and a half months I was able to toss the cane and I feel marvelous. At my age the curvature in my spine is not going to go away and I'm not going to grow new knees, but I take Tai Chi classes, I'm able to do my shopping and run errands and go on trips, on my own without the cane or someone to prop me up. This is the best decision and investment I could have made to insure that I can remain active and independent. I most heartily recommend Mr. Martin, he is a good listener, he is patient and most of all, he cares. more
