Once Upon a Child Crown Point

The staff here at Crown Point Animal Hospital does a great job explaining everything about my pet to me, and they really care about my dogs health, which I love. more

I spent the weekend at the emergency clinic for my cat who eat string that got caught up in her intestines. They would not see her because I would not be able to pay for it all at once. I did not have $1500 so they basically told us to take her home and see if we can get in to our vet the next day. They also prepared us that she might not make it through the night. We had just moved to Crown Point from TN and did not have a vet. I called several vets in the area and ONLY Crown Point Animal Hospital (Dr. Bochnowski) would see her. I called hysterical and told them what was going on, and they do not take payment arrangement either (just like all the others), but Dr. Bochnowski thought with her heart and not her wallet and was not going to let an animal die because I do not have money. I can not tell you how it made me feel and I owe this women more than just a bill, I owe her my cats life! My cat is in recovery right now and expected to make a full recovery! The staff at Crown Point Animal hospital are friendly and genuinely concerned about your pet but then can never get your pet in to see the doctor in the next day or so especially when it can't wait like when your pet is sick. They always refer us to another animal hospital nearby like Four Seasons Animal Hospital, which I recommend, because they can always see your animal when he's sick. more

We have been using this animal hospital for 20+ years. The staff has an extremely low turn around rate, and they are there because they love to be there. Many of the staff includes family. We are always impressed with our service there, as they are wonderful with our dogs and cat- they even know their names when we walk in the door! It is cheaper to go to petsmart, and they don't have great outdoor kennels, etc. so that is the only reason for giving 3 stars. If you are looking for a quality veterinarian only, this is a good bet. more
