Quality is Hit & Miss 2/19/2006

I was very disappointed when I brought in a load of gently used baby clothes, some of them were never worn, and they actually refused all but 2 items. When I went through their merchandise, I found clothes with holes in them, stains on the shirts, and a pair of pants that had a melted chocolate bar in the pocket. That was a year ago and I haven't been back since. The one in Roseville is a little better. more

buy but don't sell here 1/30/2006

Once Upon a Child is a big store with lots of merchandise, so I guess they can afford to pick and choose, but it's not very satisfying to bring in loads of expensive clothes and toys only to have them reject all but a handful and offer only a pitiful amount of money (after waiting 45 minutes--grrrr). Much better to take my stuff to Goodwill and get a tax write off! more

Huge Selection, But Not That Cheap 9/28/2005

The selection at Once Upon a Child is fabulous. They mix in some new merchandise with merchandise that they have purchased from customers. They only buy the best condition items, so you know that what you're getting hasn't been completely destroyed by another child. They are not nearly as inexpensive as getting these same items from a garage sale or a newspaper though, but I guess that's the trade off for having the large selection in one place. more

Not your average thrift store 9/28/2005

This is a children's/babie's consignement shop, but it's a great place to get gently used and new items for baby! They have cribs, clothing, toys, shoes, and anything that you need for baby besides diapers and food. They staff is friendly and helpful. It can get a little cluttered at times, but everything is clean and it's pretty easy to find what it is that you are looking for. more

Once Upon a Child 7/21/2005

This location has a lot of different things for children. They primarily have children's clothes but you can find other items. The store is clean and organized. The staff is friendly and helpful. The cashier is quick and efficient. more
