Once Upon A Child

I visited this store after my kids had outgrown some clothes. I didn't expect to get much money for them, but that is not the major issue. We left for an hour for them to review the 4 laundry baskets of items I took in. The first excuse for not buying them was that they were out of style (I don't agree, but I could accept that). The second was that the items were stained (it would be ridiculous to try to sell stained clothes. I know better). The third, and this is the clunker, was that big spiders jumped out of the clothing! Funny, they didn't show themselves when I went through the clothes an hour earlier. Needless to say, I will never attempt to do business with them again. Purchasing or selling. It's better to GIVE than to receive. Hand-Me downs are super! more

It's ok. I think the clothing for being used are just priced too high. I sold a few of my baby's outfits, which were never used and didn't get much at all for them, I get more at Kid To Kid. Also Kid To Kid has a much better selection. more

I've had mixed experiences with Once Upon A Child. This store is very crowded with clothes, so much so that I even hesitate to spend much time looking. When I do take the time, I have, on occasion, found treasure. I have also sold clothes to Once Upon a Child. They are quite picky and only pay garage-sales prices for the things they chose to buy. more

My wife and I like to resell our children's clothing and toys here because it is so much easier than having a messy garage sale. They buy back most of the clothing if you take good care of it and you get a great price for it. It generally takes them 30 minutes to an hour to look over and write you a check. They buy furniture too! more

I have quite a few consignment shops that I have reveiwed and by far this is my favorite. The selection varries from your kiddie couture to your baby gap to your run of the mill target brand outfits. The prices here are more reasonable that most other consignment stores and the payout is better. Most of the clothing is designer brands and are all in good condition. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable. I recently purchased a polo dress for my daughter here for $11 when a dress of similar style and condition was $20 at another shop. more

This store offers you the chance to sell back gently used clothing and toys for cash! The also sell gently used clothing and toys to the public. This is so much better than a garage sale! The clothing is neat and next to new. I have purchased and sold here and have had all wonderful experiences. My kids love to go there and buy toys, books, and videos. I can get a lot for a little and even sell back items we can't use anymore! more
