Great Interactive Area for Kids... 4/15/2006

If you haven't taken your kids to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History...you have to...at least once. There are tons of interactive activities for all ages--from a dinosaur fossil dig outside to making huge bubbles. It is a great kid-friendly activity for a summer day. Oh, and don't forget to buy tickets for one of the Omni shows too! more

Nice Museum 9/22/2005

Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is a great museum. It has a lot of hands on activities in the science part and a lot of displays in the history area. I was very impressed with how clean and nice the museum was when we were there. It is kid friendly and a very nice way to spend the day with the family. more

Top Notch Science Museum 9/13/2005

I have visited this Museum many times over the last 20 years. It never ceases to amaze me at how well they reinvent themselves year after year! Although some of my favorite exibits have long since been replaced, the new ones are just as fantastic. The kids will especially like digging for Dino Bones in the "excavation" site! A must-do is pay the extra to see a show at the Omni Imax! It is an amazing experience that puts you right into the show. more

We love the Dinosaur dig! 9/6/2005

This is a neat place to learn about dinosaurs and more. They have a dinosaur dig that my kids just love. Plus you get a nice tour and it is fun and educational. This is a great place to take a class for a field trip or just a small family group.  more

This is not just a place for a field trip. 8/25/2005

This is a place every school visits for a field trip, but you need to return and spend more time. The kids love it and it is so hard to see everything when you are on a field trip. They have plenty of different items on display for the whole family to enjoy. more

Where Science is Fun 8/19/2005

The two main attractions at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History are the Noble Planetarium and the Omni Theater. Aside from the shows you'd normally expect at any planetarium, The Noble Planetarium also features periodic exhibits. Current exhibits include a dinosaur exhibit and a Mars exhibit. My personal favorite at the FWMSH is the Omni Theater which shows IMAX movies. Through the end of September, the feature film at the Omni is Fighter Pilot. Prices are a little on the high end. But, it's worth it, IMO. more

great for kids 8/19/2005

This is a great museum. When i was in school we used to come here all the time for field trips. The omni thearte is neat . You can see all kinds of documenterys there on this huge rounded screen . I have seen many films about dolphins, caves, dinosaurs and my altime favorite the film about the astrnauts in space. This museum is great more

Museum Of Science & History 8/16/2005

This museum is great for kids because of the sheer amount of activities planned. While most museums are boring, this one is extremely interactive. There is dinosaur bone digging, which is my personal favorite. They also have a section where kids are encouraged to touch and play with the exhibits while learning at the same time. This museum also has the omni theater, which is a huge circular theater on the ceiling. more

Fort Worht Museum of Science and History 8/16/2005

An entire day can be a fun filled event at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. From the Planetarium to the history museum, there is plenty to see and do. You can even dig for dinosaur bones or see IMAX films at the Omni theater. The Omni is clearly the main attraction with its gigantic dome shaped screen. It is a must see for anyone who has never experienced it. more

Imax and Dinosaurs 8/13/2005

This museum provides 9 exhibits, featuring dinosaurs, computers and more! They have a dome IMAX screen as well as a planetarium. Kids wil be facinated by the interactive exhibits as well as by the dinosaur dig site. They can pretend to be paleontologists if they want. This is alot of fun so be sure to check it out. more

my fav in fort worth 8/10/2005

the museum of science and history is my favorite museum in fort worth. maybe its because i have been going there since i was a really young kid. i still love to go. they have had great traveling exhibits like the tribute to 9/11 a few years ago. also the omni, which is technically part of it, is great entertainment. you actually learn something! wow! more

The best in Fort Worth 8/10/2005

This is the best museum in Fort Worth; I have no children, but have taken younger siblings and cousins to the hands on exhibits. The staff is very friendly and helpful- always ready to answer questions for the kids. The IMAX theatre is fantastic and we try to catch as many shows here as we can from sea life to rock climbing...it's absolutely amazing in there. **One note, small children often get scared in the theatre because it is very overwhelming. Plenty of parking, great location and good ticket prices. more

The Best Museum for Kids 8/4/2005

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is a really good investment for your family. We bought the family pass, and have really gotten our money's worth. The Omni hosts 3-4 movies at a time, and they change throughout the year. The exhibits also rotate out, making a year membership something that is everchanging. The kids really love Dino Dig, and going downstairs to paint their faces. It is really hard to get my kids away from the big bubbles in the experiment area. This is a true treasure to Fort Worth. more

great for kids of all ages 7/28/2005

Every city has a museum like this. It's "activity-heavy," meaning that there are plenty of things for visitors to do, see, touch, and otherwise experience. Kids love this place, and it is clearly meant for them. For anyone who has kids, I recommend taking them to the Museum of Science and History. more
