Perfect Outdoor Dining 8/17/2005

This is the ultimate Rockford establishment for outdoor dining. Don't let the "tavern" part of its name fool you. This is a great place for salads, burgers, ribs, and typical bar food. It's been in business since 1945 and that says something. This is a great neighborhood joint with better than average food at very reasonable prices. Head for the outdoor beer garden on that lazy summer evening...you won't be sorry. more

Restaurant 8/13/2005

Great local joint, its been here for forever and everyone pretty much knows where it is. The building is great, but may be a bit of a drive for a work time lunch. The food is good, standard fare but always well done. Atmosphere is casual, great place to meet after work and unwind. more
