For us, there is no greater responsibility than honoring and preserving the story of one’s life.. Mills and Mills Funeral Home and Memorial Park are surrounded by wooded land and boast a wide range of shrubs, trees and flowers. Within our park you'll find the Pacific Northwest spirit alive and thriving. We specifically care for and maintain many special trees and plants: young giant sequoias, maple and pine trees,a voodoo lily, elephant garlic and an 88-foot-tall American Chestnut tree. We even maintain the original dahlias, planted here when the park was opened. Our peaceful park is home to deer, minks and raccoons. Today,Mills & Mills Funeral Home and Memorial Park features 10 developed gardens for ground burial, each with its own special features; a mausoleum for above ground entombment and various niche walls for placement of urns throughout our grounds. Only 18 of our 32 acres are developed for cemetery use. The remaining land remains open for future gardens, features and generations. We are particularly proud to offer the Back to Nature Garden and Pavilion, situated in an area that was left as natural as possible. It features trees, ferns and many other examples of original flora. This area is a unique setting for the placement of cremated remains and offers a tranquil place for families to visit or even hold outdoor memorial and committal ceremonies. Our Garden of Christ is consecrated by the Archdiocese of Seattle as ground for Catholic burial. We also offer a newer veterans' garden and is aptly named the Garden of Honor.
