OLYMPIA just so there is no confusion. i gave them one last chance and they really blew it! 8/30/2012 my wife ran over a chunck of metal in the road by the constrution on 94. it has run flat tires. i met my wife where she stopped because she was affraid to drive it. i didnt want to take it there but it was just a block away so thats where i took it. it was just a tire problem. i dont have the means to change a low profile tire at the house or i would have. the manager needed a few minutes to look up the tires so we went home. when we got home the manager calls with 2 tire options 130ish and 160ish per tire but they were not in stock and they had to order them. we were going to replace 2 so they would match on one end or the other. hearing my wife on the phone. she clearly said "wait, let me talk to my husband and we will get back to you" she went to run errands and i was going to look up tires. i didnt know the size and i kinda wanted pictures of the tire with the metal stuck in it, ma more

For 8 years after moving from the Chicago area I had been looking for an auto place where I could trust the work. These guys really give you an honest job for an honest buck, more than fair price and they stand behind their work. I highly recommend them. more

i took my truck in for a heater core replacement on my truck and was treated very well. the price they quoted was competitive to ford but with the coupons that were offered by them i got a great deal. ----very customer friendly and let me use a company vehicle when i needed it. good job! more

They knocked off a clip that joins rods to make the A/c vents open and close also hot and cold. This was done when they changed my heater core knowing I needed another engine or engine rebuild and that was cause for me to total the car. The manager arguered me up and down that they don't know what happened to the a/c vents and was not responsible. " That has nothing to do with the heater core." After not being pleased with my post repair A/C Ii went in for the repair myself not really knowing what was going on. After taking everything apart it was easy to see they didn't reinstall the clip after installing the new heater core. ( I REPEAT, you have to take the clip off to diassemble the connector rods to get to the heater core!) took me 30 min to find the issue but knowing what the problem is now it could have taken me 1 minute. I ended up getting the engine rebuilt and rolled around for a year with my heating and cooling not up to par because of a lie, laziness and a one m more

I have had several of my cars and my kids' cars repaired at Olympia. Each and everytime we have been given honest, straight forward, professional opinions as to the vehicles' problems and cost of repair. And, get this, they refuse to do unncessary work that so many other, less trustworthy auto mechanics throw in to run up the cost. As a woman who in the automotive world has often received less than the respect deserved, Olympia consistently gives 5 star service. I recommend them to everyone! I've been bringing my car to Olympic for a little over a year now. I had been trying to find a new mechanic that I could trust, and I feel very safe with them. They are honest and helpful and they don't try to rip you off. I even bring my car there for my oil changes because I'd rather have a mechanic do them. I can trust them to top off all necessary fluids and check my tire pressure, and they don't try to sell me unnecessary air filters and such every time I bring my car in like the drive through places. I am a single woman with an older car, and I have brought my car to them when I was on my way out of town to have concerns checked and they always put my mind at ease. If something is urgent, they let me know. If things are ok, they reassure me. They don't try to sell me work that is unnecessary. That's what I need in a mechanic. I highly recommend them. more

I've been using this shop for more than 5 years and they have always provided good service at a fair price. They also stand behind their work. Totally satisfied. I was alarmed when I saw a previous review (evertbodydance) that made claims re: tie rod ends and poor service so I looked to see what other reviews this person wrote. There was a review for Mid-America Transmission. I have no experience with them so I won't speak for their servic, but I went to their shop and saw a person working there who was fired from Olympia for theft....go figure! Pros: Fast, Fair more

I have been taking my car to Olympic for a couple of years now. The customer service is great and I never feel like I'm being told to do things that don't need to be done. As a single woman, it's nice to go to someone I trust for my auto needs. When I took my car in for new tires and an alignment, they discounted my labor charges and gave me the coupon discounts. I would recommend Olympic to anyone looking for a good mechanic!!! more

I alway feel safe bring my car to this shop. I know that when I have something done on my car that it will be fixed correctly! If there is a problem found that needs further work, Derrick is usually the one that calls and explains in lay mans terms what the problem is and helps me decide if it is really worth fixing. Again, I would recommend this automotive service and repair to all concerned! more

I have had more experiences with Olympic than I can count. We've been bringing our cars there for years. Every time we've used them, they have done outstanding work! They are polite and helpful, too. The manager going so far as to let us borrow his own car for the day while they worked on ours! Try getting that level of service anywhere else. They worked hard to save us money, too. I wouldn't dream of taking my car anywhere else or trusting anyone else to do as good of a job as they do at Olympic! Jeff, Derrick, and the rest of the crew there are simply outstanding. I recommend them to all my friends and family and have heard the same thing over and over: they are the BEST! more

I take my Toyota Camry in yearly for a tune up and feel good about the service I receive at this shop. Darryl is always very nice to me when I call and explains clearly what my car needs. They wont do anything that it doesn't need! This makes me feel good, since as a single woman, I am worried sometimes about being taken advantage of. I am thankful to have received such honest and quality service from an auto shop. I highly recommend it. The worst automotive repair shop I have ever been to. Please read this before using Olympic Automotive. ...... We were given an $1,800 estimate at another shop to replace tie rod ends, water pump, and head gasket. Olympic said they could do it for between $1000 - $1200, because we only needed 3 of the 4 tie rod ends and the water pump but the head gasket would not need to be replaced. They said they could save on the labor because they would not charge us for labor on the one set of tie rods because they had to remove those parts anyway to get to the water pump. ......In the end the total was about $1600. We were never notified about the difference and were not given the discount on labor promised when we first brought it in. They double charged us on labor to remove the same parts for the tie rods and water pump. They did only half the work other the shop was going to do, at only $200 less and over $400 more than their own estimate. ...... We were not first time customers. They treat repeat patrons as badly as new customers. Also, they usually do not honor the coupons published in local circulars. ...... We found many of their repairs to be defective and they had to be redone a short time later. They outsource alignments and other services at a high additional surcharge. ...... I've taken my vehicle to Olympia for many years now and have never once had any problems. The staff are polite and professional. They have taken care of numerous things for me, including the simple things, like an oil change, to more complicated problems as a slipping transmission. They are comparable in pricing to any other shop, but they go that extra mile to make you feel like you're part of the family. I have the utmost confidence in Jeff and Derrick that they'll take care of me, no matter what the situation. I definitely recommend this shop to anyone and if you do go somewhere else, you're probably paying too much for things you most likely don't need. more
