If you want to take an adventure in LA, you really need to check out Olvera Street aka El Pueblo de Los Angeles. It's a place filled with an amazingly rich history and it's a place to get really great tasting mexican food and sweets. There are dozens of vendors selling all sorts of things from belts and wallets to wooden snakes and paper roses. It's a great place to go if you've got some time on your hands and just want to take a little adventure. more

Olvera street!! 8/23/2005

this is located near chinatown and this place is awesome. i use to go here when i was a lil kid in elementary school. we would take field trips here and they let everyone wonder over and buy stuff. i mean there is a lot to buy and you should reallly bring a lot of cash because this place sells many unique things. some are like dream catcher, which sounds really cool doesn't it? and the food are wonderful. mexican is one of my favorite food and i couldn't be any more happier. come here and visit while your in los angeles and don't miss out on all the fun!!! more

I think this is a cheap way to have a lot of fun. You can eat great food, and buy unique things for very little money. Everyone should go at one time or another.Parking can be difficult, and the area can get crowded on holidays. Use the Red Line/DASH when possible. more
