Olsson’s Books and Records is a smaller book store then I'm used to and personally it made me feel a little cramped. Though I'm I think that for a lot of other people it would feel cozy. The location really is wonderful for Metro riders also, just a crosswalk away. more

Olsson’s is a nice option in Arlington. The store is located right next to the Courthouse Metro and has ample parking all around. The staff here is friendly, feel free to ask them any questions. This store specializes in books but also sells DVDs and greeting cards. They are a nice option to some other chain stores in the region. more

Arlington - Courthouse location of local book chain 12/30/2005

This Arlington location near the Courthouse Metro is a very convenient because of its proximity to the Courthouse Metro Stop and the ample parking on nearby N. Veitch Street. This location has a great caf with wide selection of healthy food items and hot beverages. The environment is very friendly and the store has a wide selection of books, cds, and dvds. The only negative is it is slightly pricier than Barnes and Noble but the difference is more

Great indie bookstore! 8/19/2005

Olsson's may not be as large as a chain mega-bookstore, but they offer a lot of the same services - the cafe in the corner serves great coffee, sweets and sandwiches, they offer pre-orders of hot titles, and anything they don't have in stock, they're happy to order. They recently held a "Harry Potter" party to rival the big chains, and the personalized service and staff picks really make a difference. This location also gets a lot of the big name authors on tour. And, if you're a bargain hunter, they have a shelf towards the back of the store filled with bargain/remainders for cheap! more
