Absolutely Love It 6/8/2011

My daughter has been at OCP for almost a year now. I am sooo happy that I have found such a loving, caring, wonderful environment where she can learn, socialize, and play. The director, Kathy is an amazingly warm, hard working person. She is always creating a fun experience for the kids, and makes the school feel like such a comfotable homey place(She makes lunch for the kids every day! Where else can you find that?...so cute) . The teachers are fabulous. They are trustworthy, fun, honest, and really care. If you want a place where your kid can be a kid, this is for you. I wouldn't go anywhere else! more

Goodbye OCP ( Thank you for everything! 6/8/2011

Last week we attended our daughter's graduation ceremony from Olivenhain Country Preschool. It seems like there is always a celebration going on at OCP that everyone is so happy about. This one was bittersweet. We are so sad that our time here is coming to an end, but we are so very, very thankful that we found OCP a couple of years ago and that our daughter was so well-taken care of by staff members who became like family. more

Sweet Sweet School 6/8/2011

If you want a relaxed preschool with teachers who love the kids, then then is the school for you. I have an infant and a preschooler here. Infant experience: What I love about this school is that the teachers are always on the floor with the babies. I have seen other schools where teachers are just chatting with each other and don't get down at the babies level. They take them for walks and have them visit with the other older classes (my daughter loves seeing her little brother come to her class to say hi!). When the kids start walking, they have a little playground for them. In the warmer months they even put out little pools. Sometimes when I pick my baby up he insists on toddling over to give his teacher a hug goodbye. Preschool: My daughter loves school. Her teachers are so sweet and caring. They seem to know her individual preferences. They include a ton of enrichment programs both on and off campus (e.g. soccer, dance, movies, Legoland, coaster ride, parks, and libraries). My daughter is always telling me about the things she learned on the way home. They were really helpful during the potty training period and seem to have a good mix of structured and unstructured activities. When offsite, one teacher send pics of my daughter on the field trip via text! I love that. The Director Kathy is really nice. She genuinely loves the kids and cares about her staff. She has also been responsive to any issues that we have brought up. more

DISGUSTING!!! 8/5/2010

I can't even understand how these people are in business! My daughter went to this school in 2004 and we LOVED IT!!!! I toured it in June (two weeks) ago for my baby and the lady that showed me around was, well let me say so phoney. With a smile she proceeded to tell me about the new ownership and renovations. Please, gag me!!! I saw bugs, the room had an unpleasant smell with english as the second language. A man with a shaggy hair that hardly spoke english was a bit scary looking too!!!! I remember this school being sweet with a Miss. Carole and a sweet Director Cheri. Oh, my how things change. Thumbs down. more
