My wife and I drove into Belmont from Charlotte to eat here, Service was good, food, not. I started with a rather expensive appetizer of their BBQ ribs, which included 5 or 6 tiny babyback ribs, with very little meat on them. Drenched in an overpowering sauce. But the kicker was the 14 oz. cowboy ribeye I got, thinking steak was their specialty. Steak although ordered medium, was rubbery-tough. It reminded me of a steak that was frozen. After waiting 35 minutes for it, despite being the first customers in the place, I didn't want to wait. The manager's response was lachodasic, at best. I didn't want a free meal, I wanted him to know we wouldn't be back and why. He didn't care. A shame.
Pros: Bread was good. Service was good.
Cons: Steak was too tough. Grits were mediocre, and $2 more than the other sides??? My wife's pasta was decent, not for the money.
