Great Old Stone House 1/7/2011

This house is on the National Historic Register. It belonged to Henry Dering. He was a soldier in the revolutionary war. He came from Lancaster, PA in 1796 and established a Tavern here. He was my ancestor. On one visit here, I asked if I could look upstairs, and I did. Nothing but storage there now. So treat it kindly and say nice things about it. Charles J. Gift Shop 8/5/2005

Gift Shop The Old Stone House in downtown Morgantown is more than a gft shop. It really is an old stone house. This historic building is the oldest house in all of Mon County. Inside you will find small gifts and trinkits. They dont really carry anything too special. It is a neat place to go see once though because of the building that it is in. more
