Did not know what to think about new place in town. I went and had a wonderful meal with a group of friends. We all loved the chip and salsa, and margs, and wide selection. Shirmp with bacon is great. Waitress was sweet and everything came out quick and the food was great. everyone enjoyed it, thanks Pros: Great place, great TV's, good Music Cons: so much parking more

Best Tex-Mex restaurant in Fort Worth!! 1/6/2010

I hadn't been to Fort Worth in a while and I stopped in this restaurant. Not only was the staff so friendly but i had a great experience. The food was awesome! We had the enchiladas and Chile rellenos! Yum! I have some friends who go to TCU and they said this is a great place to come for happy hour, bring the parents for a great local meal, or even just to grab some hearty Tex-Mex when working off a hang over. I will definitely be back here when I come to Fort Worth! Pros: Love the atmosphere! more

  • Old Rip's Tex-Mex Restaurant is the newest restaurant in the TCU area. Since our door opened, we have become a neighborhood favorite and Fort Worth hot spot for out fine Tex-Mex dining. We cater to all groups, are great for happy hour, intimate for date night and perfect for large groups. We hosted the 500 person party for TCU's parents' weekend.

    At Old Rip's, we have an open air patio, two large dining rooms and a fully stocked bar, all of which make us a energetic and friendly experience. We open early for those who want a hearty breakfast and have the perfect setting for dinner between classes or an evening with someone special.

    Catering is available, with delivery and set up. We can even host private parties.

    For an evening relished with fresh, time-honored Tex-Mex dishes and classic margaritas, Old Rip's Tex Mex Restaurant is surely a favorite!
